SouthAmerica: For just a second I thought he was going to make the announcement. To watch that moment with Al Gore winning his Oscar was the only reason for me to watch the Oscar last night.

But if he had done it – that would have been the end of the Oscar television show last night since the global media would have raced to make their deadlines and to publish that news on the front page on newspapers from around the world.

The Hollywood crowd would not appreciate if Al Gore had taken the spotlight from Hollywood biggest night, and placed the entire spotlight on him.

By September/October of 2007 if Al Gore still on the sidelines the Democratic Party will beg him to make his entry into the race official. By then most people would have realized that he is the best candidate the Democratic Party has to win the presidential race in 2008.

You just don't understand that the Clinton's will not let AlGore run....it is NOT his choice. I'm a little surprised that you don't see that.

Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama is just an appetizer for the US presidential race of 2008 - They are just an entrée on that feast – But “Al Gore” will be the main course.

I also thought he was really going to announce his candidacy for President.
He looked serious as he took out the paper and started to read it.
It seemed that only after the music started playing and he was going
off stage with a big smile on his face that I realized they were joking.

I agree if he had made the announcement it would of taken away from
all the hoopla of the event. I too only watched it to see if Al Gore
would win the oscar and if he would say anything about his running
for Prez in 2008. When he first went on stage he was questioned
about it and he did say he was going to concentrate on the Global
Warming issue, so I assumed he would not announce anything Sunday night.
But he sure had people going with that fake announcement bit didn't he?

I agree that Al Gore would make a better candidate than either Hillary
or Barrack for the Democratic party in 2008. Maybe he is waiting for
them to screw up a little bit first before announcing his candidacy...:p

SouthAmerica: Yesterday I was reading the latest issue of “The Economist” magazine and one article called my attention “Al Gore the next US president.”

I have been saying that for over six months already. But now, if “The Economist” a British magazine can see as well that Al Gore is the best bet the Democrats have today to win the US presidency in 2008 – eventually even the US mainstream media and the American people will realize that fact.

As soon as Al Gore makes the announcement that he is running for president in 2008 – after that everybody else will jump on the bandwagon.

SouthAmerica: I guess the US mainstream media is starting to wake up to the fact that Al Gore will be the next US president.

On February 28, 2007 The New York Times published a column by Maureen Dowd “Ozone Sequel” and she said: “…the best ex-president who was never president could make one of the most interesting campaigns in American history even more interesting….”

Before you know it even the other talking heads and political commentators on television will realize that Al Gore will be the next US president and they will start talking about him.

I read Maureen Dowd's OpEd in today's The Times-Picayune about Al Gore being the Democratic nominee. I think as time goes by, the voices supporting Gore will get stronger and louder. Great analysis on your part.
 
I actually agree with these 2 guys. Yes, dumbass Gore is working it hard.He is really cute trying to convince everybody he has no intention to run. He is playing the game others played before many many times. No better way to enter the race by being talked into it.
I want to be wrong on this prediction but I am afraid I am not.

On the positive note, I have a feeling there is a reaction rising in the world against this attempted socialist powergrab called "global warming" ala Gore
 
As a republican voter....my biggest hope would be that somehow Gore runs and is picked.....I'll keep my fingers crossed....but i think it's hillary
 
The radical left is pushing hard for a Gore candidacy. Gore/Obama is the dream team of the far left. That duo all but guarantees a republican victory in 08. Richardson is a far better candidate, but alas, he just isn't crazy enough to satisfy the rabid left. My party has lost it's way and is probably gone for good.
