Yes, your party lost the midterm election last year and will lose in 2008 if things don't change soon.
I'm not so sure a Gore/Obama ticket guarantees Republicans a win. Republican Party establishment types are still in denial as to why they were crushed in the mid-term elections. The party's voters distrust McCain, and while they admire Guiliani, I can't see the family values people lifting a hand for him. In their eyes, what does he offer that Obama doesn't? Two divorces and a third wife who acts like she belongs on Desperate Housewives?
We know that Gore has totally sold out his integrity to appeal to the radical left, and that Obama is old liberal nostrums in a new package, but the average voter sees them as concerned and idealistic. Gore is a very intelligent guy and it appears all his celebrity smoozing is helping him lighten up a bit. His ultimate plan may be to get the nomination in 2012 if the Democrats lose in '08 to a McCain who would then be 76. But I doubt he would turn down a draft movement if Hillary and Obama fell flat.

In October of 2007 after he gets the Nobel Peace Price â at that point not even Jesus Christ will be able to beat him in the presidential race of 2008.

The other day I was watching a program on TV and Ralph Nader was being interviewed â and he also thinks that Al Gore is very intelligent and in his opinion the best person for Al Gore to add to his ticket as the VP in 2008 - it is Bill Moyers.
I thought that was a great suggestion and that would mean that both candidates on that ticket would be of the highest intellectual level and quality.
Contrast that with the current reality in the US - today we have a duo running this country â one is a âretardâ and the other is a âderanged-sickopath.â
Today from where Bush/Cheney stands even someone such as Robert Mugabe â President of Zimbabwe in Africa â would be a major improvement.

Their (mainstream Republicans) disregard for human life stems from their religious beliefs found in the bible, the same book used to condone slavery, warring, etc..
I must agree that your acessment of the current situation in right on. However, as we move closer to people actually having to pull the lever for a Gore/Obama ticket, well, I just don't see that happening. Richardson is the best bet for a Dem victory, as was Gephart in 04. As screwed up as the repubs are, a dem victory should be a no brainer, as it should have been in 04, but the country won't go radical left. Bad as things are now, we all know what a radical left administration brings us.....massive unemployment as the result of higher taxes and intrusive government regulation into industry. A Gore/Obama team will throw this country into a depression and everyone knows it. My vote is for Richardson at this point. Should the lefties drive him out I'll probably have to abstain.
