Al Brooks - Trading Price Action Trends

Quote from NoDoji:

Brooks gets credit for handing us 10 years of experience in a book-format trading course that will take a fairly bright and dedicated student about 6 months to a year to complete.

I get the credit for being one of those students who put in the year of work to turn the book-learning into a real-world plan that extracts money from the market every day, regardless of whether the market is trending, ranging, or chopping.

I'm not saying there aren't other methods that work, which is what the naysayers here are saying; they're saying Brooks is everything from worthless to dangerous, yet not one of you has provided concrete evidence of this.

I'm saying Brooks' tactics work consistently through all market conditions over time with firm risk management for the student willing to master the tactics, not just "skim" through the book.

No Doji,

Not every trader is in the same level of price education.

Remember that you read the book to find a way to be profitable, to help you get there, other traders/readers might had been profitable before even Brooks started to trade.

While you are correct, Crazy A, I doubt anyone thinks that Soros has a lot to learn from Al.

Quote from Laissez Faire:

...It is the returns of financial markets that are not normally distributed which is different from what was mentioned here. .....

Is that what they taught you at community college.....based on that statement alone just tells me you're not even worth debating....but go ahead and believe that and let me know how it works out for ya :D

As much as I love a useless debate this one is not only not worth the candle it is to the point where even in sunlight it is not worth the keystroke.

I'm outta here!!

are there people ready to audit their 'al brooks' live trading account compared to mine?

in fact, everybody yelling here how stupid I am and how stunning brooks is should step up and audit their account next to mine

Quote from NoDoji:

...My mentor, an experienced trend follower whose core principle of trading is "keep it simple", just finished the "Trends" book and gave it a solid thumbs up.
A 3-volume series comprising 1,647 pages on how to keep it simple?

As thread starter, can I ask the mods to close it? It's been ruined by trolls and/or bitter failed traders. I am all for debate and criticism but the level that the Al haters are at would better suit a kindergarten playground. Got my book today btw, can't wait to read it, thanks to the posters who offered intelligent and mature opinions.

Nope, if someone posted "I tried al brooks, studied it and traded it for months but it never worked for me, because of X,Y,Z" then I would also be thanking them. Rather than "AL SHOW ME YOUR ACCOUNT OR YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT" or "I glanced at the book cover and decided the guy has no trading ability". There is a balance between drinking the kool aid and being a paranoid that everyone is scamming.
