Jack, the sample you are referencing to is Topguns TETA money management / trade set-up... the pivots he references as pivot 1 and pivot 2 are not the pivots used to identify the trendline, but, an example of his entry point, stop placement for his "advanced technique"Quote from jack411:
I would also like to see this. I've been trying to keep up with the chat logs, but I seemed to have missed the info on what exactly marks an important pivot area.
Here is a chart I saw posted in today's log. It says connect pivot#1 to pivot#2.
My question is this - why is "pivot #2" not 5, 12.25, 17.25, 22, etc? What are these numbers referring too? Why is pivot#2 the area marked 30 and not earlier?
Thanks for any clarification!
imho, the reason he may have chosen (30) as his "1st" pivot may be due to his set-up requiring Trend confirmation prior to initiating a trade.... (30) being the first swing low to test/touch the established trendline....
In regards to trendline identification, (98.25) could be considered 1st pivot -- (5) 2nd pivot -- and (12.25) the 3rd pivot which confrims the trendline...
hope this helps...
