I have been trading options full-time for 9 years. I have had more positions go against me than for me. I blew out my first major PM account. This journal has been live for 6 days, I'm sure one of my trades very soon will be a loser. I have iron-clad risk management rules, I just haven't had the need to post them yet.
Also, these trades are not expensive to execute. I can post a detailed break-down of costs, but to summarize, in the table I posted earlier, I traded 54 option contracts, so to get in/out that's 108 contracts. I pay commissions of $0.50/per option contract. So, 108*.50= $54 total commissions to make $13,000. I'd say that's pretty cheap.
