According to the donkeys at MSNBC, we are now running concentration camps.

Thanks Chuck for making my point.
Schumer: 'There's No Need' for Immigration Legislation; Republicans Are 'Feeling the Heat'
https://www.cnsnews.com/news/articl...tion-legislation-republicans-are-feeling-heat
A reporter asked Schumer, "Why not just enact a law that stops them from ever from doing this again?"

"Well there are so many obstacles to legislation, and when the president can do it with his own pen, it makes no sense," Schumer said

WTF,
here is a sitting senator with decades of experience saying that he's perfectly fine with a president legislating from his desk. Is there any further need, anything at all to prove that these guys have no interest, none at all, of ever addressing this issue in a serious fashion? Any more proof needed that it's all about campaigning and what will and won't hurt them at the ballot box?

There was no confusion on the orders issued by Sessions in April, I don't even know how you guys are debating that this is happening.

I'm debating the separation from parents based on a misdemeanor - which is not what illegal border crossing is.

Poll finds that demrats are insane and tweet by deranged leftist Peter Fonda gives insight into the depth of their insanity:

I never realized Peter Fonda is just as loathsome as his sister. What a family. The media will ignore his incitement to kidnapping of Barron Trump. Can you even imagine their reaction if someone had suggested something similar for the Obama girls?

There is no reasoning or compromise with these people. They certainly feel that way about Trump supporters. They want us cowed into silent acceptance of their craziness or dead. Sooner or later people are going to have to wake up and realize that before it's too late.

He just served that to Trump on a silver platter.

You quoted it yourself a few posts back, it's a federal misdemeanor

As usual you are taking a wrong turn in your understanding of why the children are being separated. It has nothing to with whether an illegal entry is a misdemeanor or a felony. The separation is occurring because of the parents claim for asylum which is a civil matter. But it takes months to get a hearing on the asylum claim but you cannot legallydetain the kids for months so you have to either let the parent go out into the community or detain the parent but let the children go elsewhere. In instances where the parents drop their claim to asylum that can be processed almost immediately and the family can leave together. So it is the holding on to the claim of asylum that keeps the process in limbo. Most of the claims are bogus. They are just maintaining the claim because they know - or knew before Trump- that they will be released into the community to abscond.

He just served that to Trump on a silver platter.
Yes he did, but of course the little caveat left out is when the presidential policy is not to his liking, then it's back to the never ending grind of the legislative process. Trumps big sin was adopting of policy of actually enforcing existing law. Jesus Christ, who the hell does such a thing?

Somehow I knew that was the case, without you having to tell me. Look, the way to deal with these problems is exactly the opposite of what Trump is doing. You've got to use diplomacy, not coercion. We need to be working with these countries to do what we can to help them solve the problems that cause this influx of asylum seekers.. There are so many knowledgeable experts in all these areas, and Trump,is ignoring all of them. What a total asshole he is!

The U.S. has been Eurocentric for four centuries. It is time for us to pay more attention to the Americas. I have traveled in central and South America and I have no hesitation in saying that our future lies more with Central and South America than it does with the British Isles and the European Continent. That does not mean we will turn our backs on our European roots and friends, but we need desperately to partner with Central and South America -- a younger, geographically, more vibrant continent than North America. And we can join with our Canadian friends in doing so.

Do you take a stupid pill every day? This problem didn't just happen. Why didn't all those previous administrations take your advise? It's been going on for decades. We need to secure our border. Period.

Update 3: President Trump has signed an Executive Order titled "Affording Congress an Opportunity to Address Family Separation" to keep illegal immigrant families together at the border, while stating that his administration's "zero-tolerance" policy of enforcing Bush-era immigration laws will continue.

I'm sure Liberals will find something about this they hate.

I can hear it now.

"Trump is throwing kids in prison with their parents".

You cannot win this argument because it is not based on reasoned policy, it's based on emotion.
