Shit, that didn't take a split second. They went seamlessly into the policy still sucks, it's still a crime against humanity to stop anyone at the border, and detaining people in any which way is akin to concentration camps. And democrats were/are more than willing to watch the horror show while doing nothing just to oppose that wall. Legislation is not easy, but it is the way we're supposed to be handing these situations, and once again I must be the broken record. They've had decades to work on this.

This was a crisis in the making. If you want legislation to protect children in a timely manner, don't attach poison pill legislation. No reason why a clean bill shouldn't pass without obstruction.
