According to the donkeys at MSNBC, we are now running concentration camps.

This is not true and you can't back it up with any data whatsoever. In fact, the current unemployment rate is very low, about 0.20% lower than it was when Obama left office, and the immigration picture has not changed one iota from what it was during the Obama administration. Even if it had. there would not have been enough time to notice any effect. Your reasoning is very weak! Extremely Weak!

I can't put everything on a bumper sticker for you. The ever-escalating violence in Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salavador are also factors. The volume has stayed the same but mix has changed. Fewer Mexicans and now mostly Central Americans. In addition, the mix continues to change dramatically. Just eight years ago, or so, 90% were single adult males from Mexico. Now they are mostly from Central American and about 40% are women and children.

It's multifactorial. You go ahead and spend some time studying and we can talk more as needed. I am not going to give you the Reader's Digest version.

Okay, tell it to the human beings being sold like cattle. Whatever you can live with to support a political ideology.
Of course it's a terrible problem for those directly affected. We have to set priorities and not get spread too thin. But it is wrong to forget about these other problems and not do what we can to help.

Well, couple of things here. "Elsewhere" matters as those numbers will continue to rise. My real point is, just how much collateral damage are you guys willing to accept just to push a political agenda? We are talking about human beings here, and what you're trying to sell me on is very similar to some years gone by slave owner trying to justify keeping a certain number of people enslaved, you know, cause it's fewer than it used to be, and we need them slaves to do some work that we can't find other people to do.

More collateral damage than caused by upholding the 2nd.

Okay, I just thought that the humanitarian outcry was central to this, and we cannot pretend that there aren't people, a good number of people, who are being sold and herded into some real horrible shit, and being done so by people who have no soul. To just give everyone a pass is to be complicit in this human trafficking.

So by your chart there are 11.1 million illegal aliens in this country, soaking up jobs, medical resources, and other benefits. Some probably even vote.

And you call this a "manufactured crisis" and "not really a problem" (your words). What a laugh!

As for the other chart showing that immigrants coming from Mexico are declining, and other places are rising, who really gives a fuck where they come from? A wall will stop them all!

There they are folks. The numbers you've been wanting! Facts are a bitch when your a demagogue.

My advice to you imbeciles that claim Trump has done anything other than to create chaos and bring back Nazi Tactics is to start thinking for yourselves.

What facts are a bitch? I see 11.2 million illegal immigrants in the country. That's a disaster!

Like I said, it's a collateral damage decision as it is with all legislation in which said legislation will address whether people are living or dying. Again, who is responsible for making these decisions? Congress can write and pass any law they choose, and do it without any presidential approval. If these issues are as dire as we are lead to believe with all the political grandstanding, then why aren't these issues ever addressed in a serious fashion for decades on end? 535 cowards to full of self interest to make a decision, that's why.

Somehow I knew that was the case, without you having to tell me. Look, the way to deal with these problems is exactly the opposite of what Trump is doing. You've got to use diplomacy, not coercion. We need to be working with these countries to do what we can
to help them solve the problems that cause this influx of asylum seekers.. There are so many knowledgeable experts in all these areas, and Trump,is ignoring all of them. What a total asshole he is!

The U.S. has been Eurocentric for four centuries. It is time for us to pay more attention to the Americas. I have traveled in central and South America and I have no hesitation in saying that our future lies more with Central and South America than it does with the British Isles and the European Continent. That does not mean we will turn our backs on our European roots and friends, but we need desperately to partner with Central and South America -- a younger, geographically, more vibrant continent than North America. And we can join with our Canadian friends in doing so.
