As for the opinion piece you posted, this was a little different....there were a ton of unaccompanied minors in this instance, and they had to put them somewhere. At least Obama's DHS was willing to release them to family as they awaited a court decision....Trump on the other hand, has been locking up those that go pick up the kids.

I don't have any problem with that. If you send an illegal alien to pick up the kids, well you get what you'd expect.

This is because I - like many Americans - see 11mm illegal aliens in the country as a problem. We don't consider this a manufactured crisis.

It might be, but in my most unbiased tone I'll ask, does it matter if this actually gets our do nothing congress to actually make a substantive decision on this issue? I'm not going so far as to that Trump is intentionally sacrificing himself for the good of the nation, but I'm still maintaining that he is the perfect man for this moment in history. For a very long time we have needed a, I don't give a shit what you think, this is the problem and we're addressing it now kind of guy in the office of president. For better or worse Trump has taken on that role. Love him or hate him, if we actually see movement from the lazy asses in congress, it's worth the upheaval.
