Politicall Prisoners, the toture, the families destroyed, the children coopted into the communist boot camps the property stolen, and the enslavement of the sheep for 50 years.

My Uncle 17 years in a cuban prison for doing what any college kid did at his age, protest the government.

My Grandfather-in-law a political prisoner, was routinely stood next to at the Paradon (The Wall) for a mock execution, sometimes that would stand him up and execute the guy next to him. Hows that for torture.

Plus other shit he wont talk about.

My brother in law was taken from his family in the preteen years into the communist camps, to cut sugar cane in the summers. Good work.

Statism in any form is evil it does not mean well. That just propaganda to get the sheep to go along.

Oh, that story was nothing. The only reason I survived is because I'm related to prominent (thus, connected) doctors. Oh, but the stories THEY can tell you.

How about giving a woman in labour a paralyzing drug so that she can feel every bit of her pain but the nurses don't have to hear any of her screams while she's in labour because she's can't scream as a result of the drug.

Russia was a socialist totalitarian country for much longer than Cuba. Give it time. Or, hopefully, it will just change on its own and you can avoid the whole mess.

In the 1970's my father left our worker's paradise to visit yours. Your paradise was much closer to paradise than our paradise - if only because of the location.

I see the current implementation of Socialism in the US as a means to destroy the country. The Trilateral guys have been working to bring up Japan and Europe and bring down the USA to where they are economic equals, thus Socialism in the USA. They also want the same morality all three places thus gay marriage is a HUGE issue...

Politicians are doing what politicians always to - playing on people's ignorance and fear of uncertainty to increase their own power and thereby increase their own wealth. They will support whatever issue will make them the most powerful.

Yes, if the currently 'temporary socialism' is not reversed once the immediate and emergency requirements are met...........the US will be destroyed. The basis of US strength and growth is and was the 'Ethics and Fairness' based free market principles (at least mostly, not to deny there is also corruption in US system).


Also, Un-Godly items like Gay Marriages, open and even encouraged homosexuality and several other topics........if they gain strenght, the immorality of it all will result in very rapid decline of the US and global societies. These issue gained more power in the 1990s and US has started its decline soon after.

Ethics, Morals and Fairness with even some kindness and humane consideration in a free system will lead to progress and happiness. As simple as that!

I'm well aware of this particular philosophy, however I should point out the existence of an opposing view that holds money & power as completely unnecessary to the vagina acquisition process.

Opposite is true, Your statement is more in line with the Socialist, Commie countries where Idealism is preached. That in turn 'mass produces' nerds, geeks and dorks who cannot think outside of what they have crammed from their ciricullam books and have very hard time fitting into the social circles and are 'jerk off' virgins until 26-28.........

In the western societies, if it is all free for those who want to enjoy the dating, mating and the alligating well into the afternoon. Having extra money helps, but that is not a prereq

Thinking outside the box was a crime in the 'worker's paradise'.

You're right. It's not socialism. It's fascism. The difference is that under socialism the means of production are directly owned by the state whereas in fascism the means of production are nominally owned by private entities but controlled by the state via regulation and legislation.

The latter more accurately describes the United States, Canada and Britain.

You have a funny way of defining "standard of living" since Canada's GDP per capital is lower than the U.S. So is almost every other country you mention.

Norway is a poor comparison for any other country because Norway is tiny, doesn't allow immigration and has a very high natural resource (oil) per capita ratio.
