AAPL - Tim Cook - Not very innovative

It's a questionable point. Obviously, that Apple is not a lagging company. Up to this day its products remain smart and so functional. And this will continue for long.
 
He was never a design guy, he was a packager idea guy. He came up with great ideas and sold em. He probably could not even solder let alone design.

But its the idea that makes money not the design. Huge difference.

Cook: I have no idea, let's try to reinvent our old stuff??

Cook isn't a designer/ideas man.. he was in charge of the general management and logistics when Jobs was around wasn't he? Then he got upgraded beyond his abilities...

Typically a case of promotion from within instead of looking for the best man for the job...

Not really, you need both to sell. No matter how great the idea is, if the execution is poor then it won't take off.
 
Who cares?! He built the most profitable company in the World, he can easily buy out any competitor if one appears. People still buy their phones in droves which means there is a demand for phones. And if there is a demand than the product is good enough. The market is the ultimate judge.

Not quite, Cook didn't build it, he took it over... the brainchild of Jobs, "Apple" wasn't the hardware, it was the captive ecosystem of iTunes... That was a much bigger factor to success than a mere phone, tablet...
 
You know, the title of this thread perfectly transfers the general attitude towards AAPL on the Street. Which should at least be concerning for potential investors.

- The new Apple iGlasses®, Apple's version of smartglasses, scheduled to be introduced two years after Google, Microsoft, Sony, Samsung, Vuzix, Verizon, and Intel have put their smartglasses on the market.
