One of my forex coaches said :

I'm amazed. How do these guys get away with such nonsensical rubbish? Oh, right.. re-read thread title smh.

The nonsensical advertising is by design. You can think of it as the guru trimming away people intelligent enough to eventually see a scam for what it is. The people who are drawn further in by the vague cheerleading are the target clientele. Similar to the typos and strange capitalization/grammar in the emails that we all receive from the Nigerian princes (there are so many!).

So true. Read first few words, hit delete.

Me wonders if those going on rants were not originally "smart" enough to do that and got suckered.

There is a guy I watch on YouTube but I'm not telling you who he is. Real trader, doesn't sell anything and is a prolific poster. Average views per video = 30

Reminds me of me. I have posted several trading videos on Youtube about my strategies. Nothing for sale. No mention of "Don't forget to subscribe." Just sharing stuff I have learned in 40+ years of trading.

I play piano. Often I hear people say, "I want to learn to play." I don't think they mean that. What they mean is, "I'like to be able to play." Playing music looks easy. It is. But LEARNING to play music is not easy. I practiced at LEAST an hour every day from the age of 8 to 18. Now, playing is almost automatic. But learning to play was not automatic, and it was not easy.

I think trading is similar. At first, it's a lot of work and very little reward. I traded for 14 years before I had an overall profitable year. I haven't had a single losing year since then. I even made 11% in 2008. If you study now, in a few years, you may be able to relax and let the profits run.

Thank you for that. I read through 4 pages of mostly nonsense in this thread, and yours was the first really good post!

It's not you, but I've subscribed to your channel now as well.
