I never saw the question. Sorry about that. Now, you are asking your question in a vacuum and trying to divorce yourself from the historical context that must be considered when asking such a question.
If you are not aware of this context, you will not understand the answer.![]()
Quote from Tsing Tao:
Blacks do well in politics with blacks. Period.

I don't know about that, but I will happily withdraw my comment if he, or anyone else for that matter, can show me one example where an election at the mayor/governor/congress/senate level between an African American and a White guy ended up with the White guy getting a larger portion of the African American vote.
One.
If no example can be provided, then it is a pretty safe assumption to make that blacks vote black, regardless of record.

You also know the premise of the idea is correct, but you hate that it is so - blacks will vote race and not look at the opponents from a standpoint of who is better qualified. They'd rather put a convicted criminal in charge because he's black, then someone who is white and qualified for office. There are, of course, exceptions to this as some blacks are intelligent voters and take the responsibility of casting their vote seriously, but the vast majority do not.
Instead of just saying "It is true, and I wish it weren't, but here is what needs to change...etc" you try to say it's not true when all the evidence is against you.
