I voted for Paul in my primary. While I'd love to see him win, I'm also a realist. I'll take McCain over Billary or Obama. If nothing else, I'd rather see gridlock (Republican Pres. and Democrat majority in House/Senate) than have Clinton or (especially) Obama team up with Nazi Pelosi and her cronies.

Quote from Reaver:

That's a fucking good post. Paul didn't drop out, he's still kicking, but no one is talking about him. I know he's the long shot, but damn. I'd rather know my vote got "wasted" on him if he doesn't win, than to know I voted for one of those other idiots just because they were popular.

Unfortunately, a McCain win is the best we're likely to get. (While the DemoCraps control both houses, they don't have a veto-proof majority, right?)

Quote from empee:

majority aren't rich. Why wouldn't they vote to steal your money and redistrbute it to them?

That's good for the economy.
Give the poor some money they can spent by taking it away from the super rich. The poor will spent the money and the rich will not consume less. So total consumption will rise.

Quote from Hydroblunt:

You don't even know what you're talking about. There are minor differences between the supported Republican & Democrat candidates. Both Bush & Gore would have grown government, expanded military presence across the world and continued to erode the middle class along with the dollar.

I will say it again, there are NO major differences between McCain, Obama, or Hillary. NONE. All of them have a globalist agenda driven by the real powers. None of them will talk about the real issues, all of them avoid the real problems. The healthcare issue is a distraction and really an expansion of big government.

You always have a choice to stand up for the right thing and vote for Ron Paul against the odds. You all talk sh*t about capitalism & free markets and letting the markets work, yet you laugh at the notion of voting for the only candidate who says the same thing.
Instead, you laugh it off and go toward the media packaged candidates, because thats what you're being told to do. Ron Paul has no chance, so why bother, just gravitate toward the candidates who do have a chance and follow along with them instead of thinking for yourself. Republican vs Democrat is how you are taught to think, and you are exhibiting this methodology to the T.

I respectfully disagree. McCain with a democratic congress will yield significantly different results than Obama and a Democratic controlled congress.

As for Ron Paul, I strongly supported him both here on ET and in the real world with real $ until it became obvious that McCain was the nominee. You can't argue with simple math, well maybe you can but i can't :)

As far as Ron Paul's fiscal and libertarian message goes I hope he will use his war chest and his voice, especially at the convention, to keep those issues front and center so that McCain is forced to address them and educate himself about why so many are so passionate about Ron Paul's economic message. He will need to if he is going to give himself the best chance at being elected, he needs Ron Paul supporters to work and vote for him. Trying to ignore him and sweep him under the rug would be an unfortunate mistake.

John McCain doesn't have a clue. He actually said in one debate that he thinks interest rates should be set to zero and left there.

He was a great man, but now he is just a puppet.
