Quote from Pilotboy:
This is just not true, brother. Most of the rich are so because their parents were rich. And most who are poor had poor parents. There is only a small percentage who make the transition from poor to rich, and even fewer who transition from rich to poor. The world has been like this since the beginning of civilization and will not be changing anytime soon no matter who is elected to any office.
I am not saying I agree or disagree with any politics here, just pointing out this fact.
I don't know that your assertion of "MOST are rich because they inherited" is correct.... some are rich because their parents were rich... and THAT'S BECAUSE THE PARENTS [or grandparents, or great-grandparents... SOMEBODY in the freakin' family] DID SOMETHING TO GET RICH. I know LOTS of fairly rich people... none of whom inherited wealth, but made their own. In fact, I know only one person who inherited wealth... and her father came to the US as a poor immigrant, spoke no English at the time.. and did a LOT to become wealthty.
There is absolutely no "fairness" in a political plan to redistribute wealth. America is not the United Socialist States of America (at least not yet).
