OP has a valid point. Getting over the hurtle and understanding that it is random, is for many people a bridge to far. But it is. But even with random in your trading, you can still make money if you focus on the right things. And those things are not always indicators or a chart pattern. To make it even more difficult, if the indicator or chart pattern could represent a sliver of human behavior, you can have a consistent winning method of trading if you in the first place know what random really means.
Guys... The OP is clearly a troll.. I don't know why you guys are even entertaining him/her.. He/she is a cry baby (https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/too-many-traders-are-cry-babies.335185/) and doesn't know what to do with his/her life..
You can tell by the amount of time this person spends on replying to everyone.. Successful people don't waste precious time like that.. How about take that time and use it to study the market..

Is it a successful day trader? I doubt so.
being very highly educated vs being able to trade to reach financial freedom
are at the opposite pole.
But then, to day trade and reach financial freedom wouldn't happen overnight.
It takes great pain and suffering and re engineering and re learning to achieve that.
after many many decades, I declare I am a successful day trader.

bozo888 I was wondering when you would slither in here. This is your type of thread. BTW, If you had any idea of what is going on, you would see very small range and range chop....not ideal trading conditions for the equity futures.

The OP just doesn't get it. Yeah price data is always changing, but trader's behaviour never changes...
the market simply does not breath at such short time frames... I have said repeatedly.
OP is actually correct somewhat... short term is mostly random, my pro boys don't push and unfold an event every 1 or 5 minutes... stories take days/weeks to unfold.
currently there is nothing much to do... the earning run won't start for another 2-3 weeks.
