I think he may have called him a "clown" at some point referring to Trump's behavior. Because I liked your post, doesn't mean I agree with everything you posted, but a worthwhile post to read nevertheless...
A major disappointment for me is that it will be difficult, I think, to pass legislation limiting the power of the president; something constructive I had hoped would result from our experience with Trump. I want to see the Inspectors General being made directly answerable to the Legislative Branch. It is rather insane to think that Inspectors General of the Agencies and Departments of the Administrative Branch should serve at the pleasure of the head of the Administrative Branch, i.e., the president. It's like the accused being able to fire the accuser.
