75,000 Ground Troops to secure Syria's chemical weapons facilities

Obama wants to send more arms and airstrikes to the rebels who would topple the Assad regime and gain access to chemical weapons, which would then need a deployment of 75,000 troops and possibly hundreds or thousands of deaths, to battle the very same rebels for these weapons.

Does this even make sense ?
