60 years of socialism has destroyed Europe

First of all they don't call it socialism here, they call it social democracy or "the third way".
The problem is not that people don't work hard or "take it easy", that's a cliché and not necessarily true. People work hard too, you have fewer wage slaves living pay check to paycheck like in the US perhaps, is living paycheck to paychek your entire life like blacks in the USA your idea of working hard ?

The problem is 1) the pension system just like SS in the US, it's a Ponzi scheme, cannot work as it is in the long term.
2) yes too many programs for the middle classes family, those such as family stipend have no reason to exist in their current form, they should be cut to take better care of the poors.
3) bloated govt expenses, and spending on public works, everything should be cut by 30 % , put 30% of govt people on the street. Shut down entire administrations, there are also a lot of fake jobs , subsidized by govt. If they want to create jobs , hire police officers, we don't have enough.

4) healthcare costs also are killing economies , costs need to be cut across the board, the medical sector is getting rich on the back of society, it's insane but that nobody talks about it. No, nobody talks about the ripoff of healthcare costs.

For growth, lower taxes would not be a bad idea but above all
less regulation.

bUT of course this is me dreaming, the masses nor the elites will never make those choices.

Europe's real problem: Lack of growth

If the Greek crisis morphs into an Italian crisis - Italy being too large to bail out - the entire structure of post-World War II Europe could unravel.

Finally, European leaders seem to recognize that their strategy of kicking the can down the road has not worked.

The result will not be a dramatic solution - that is not how Europe works - but, more likely, a series of steps that together will be more comprehensive than anything done before.

But they will not address Europe's core problem: a lack of growth.

Italy's economy has not grown for an entire decade. No debt restructuring will work if it stays stagnant for another decade.

Even Germany is not immune, with an average growth rate of only 1.5%. That's not much of an engine for Europe.

The fact is that Western economies - with high wages, generous middle-class subsidies and complex regulations and taxes - have become sclerotic.

Now they face pressures from three fronts: demography (an aging population), technology (which has allowed companies to do much more with fewer people) and globalization (which has allowed manufacturing and services to locate across the world).

If Europe - and, for that matter, the United States - cannot adjust to this new landscape, it might escape this storm only to enter another.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the result of 60 years of socialism.

Look, Europeans suffered a lot with the two world wars and embarked upon this programme of socialism to "relax" and "take it easy". Unfortunately it has spawned an entire generation where hard work and productivity is all but a foreign concept. Now they have to suffer the consequences. You cannot eat without WORK.

from UK to Greece, that entire continent is in the gutter.

still want to follow in Europe's socialist footsteps, USA?

Quote from Grandluxe:

Today in Europe, people, especially the younger generation which have no concept of hard work at all, just want to take it easy and have shit provided for them. Things are done slowly and inefficiently, many holidays are taken and deadlines are measured in months/ years or even decades instead of hours or days as in the USA. Every 3 hours of work is followed by a teabreak or a siesta.

You are totally ignorant , probably never left the US all your life lol , you remind me of those americans who think Europeans don't shower daily and that their women don't shave armpits. I guess those myths date back from WWII .

Sure you can, the problem is that some one else is doing the work and paying for the food. All these cretins simply think they're going to end up on the food end of the equations and not on the work side.
Ha.. the dont think they are on the food end for a while....

can you afford to drop your family your work your responsibilities to your parents and go and have fun for weeks sitting somewhere "protesting".

No you cant. But they can. they are doing better than you. And they will because they are so useless that even if they wanted job they wont find it.

Dont be ridiqulous. Europe sucks. Long lunch hours everythere except the UK. And I saw quite a few girls who never tried to remove hairs on their legs in Manchester (lived there for 2 yrs).

and dont me even start on the london tube. the bl00dy working class screwing trains and signalling to have a laugh over the stupid middle class rat race every f ucking morning!

The rights enumerated in the Constitution don't require that the government take stuff from other people to give you those rights. The stuff the government does that is unconstitutional does usually wind up costing a lot of money.

Excuse me, but the Constitution is much more than the Bill of Rights.

Article I, Section 8 gives Congress all the power they need to take from one and give to another.

But, just to be safe, they added the 16th amendment as well.

This is how bankers think. Take in one deposit, loan out 9 others. Sit on your ass and convince uneducated rednecks to do real work or trade (gamble) to prosperity. Most conservative traders are closer to welfare mindset and something for nothing mentality that has killed the American Dream of post WW2.

Never before in the history of man have people been more wealthy.
And never before have we owned so much debt...

I live in a socialist country, and if it werent for our oil we would be like Greece right now.

Yeah, socialism and cultural Marxism will do that. The smartest white people are getting outbred by the dumbest white people.

I think the smartest white people that made the west great died in both world wars and the remaining smart white people are outbred because of socialism. Non-western societies still have hardcore social Darwinism and hence they are eclipsing white people. Western nations have reverse social Darwinism, they force the smartest to work the hardest with the least amount of benefits and give all the benefits to the dumbest and poorest.
