I'm debating an idiot. You keep bring up points that show that I'm right. The rights enumerated in the Constitution don't require that the government take stuff from other people to give you those rights. The stuff the government does that is unconstitutional does usually wind up costing a lot of money.

I'm European and I am telling you over here 1 only one out of 4 households had a bath room. The second car remark was a hyperbole but the point is clear.
The post WWII period has been one of the most prosperous in human history and now some of that wealth has to be given back. That doesnt means we gained nothing.

Anyway, since the end of the second world war, Europe has invented almost nothing of note. 80% of the goods services that you are consuming is a product of American ingenuity,(the internet, kindle, facebook,ipod,ipad, Google, personal computers, proliferation of broadband, usb drives, GPS,etc).
Almost every Nobel prize in scientific disciplines with very few exceptions now is given to an American or someone working in an American university. Have you ever thought about why that is?
There is no doubt that Europe has made great contributions to civillization but most of this was before the second world war.
Today in Europe, people, especially the younger generation which have no concept of hard work at all, just want to take it easy and have shit provided for them. Things are done slowly and inefficiently, many holidays are taken and deadlines are measured in months/ years or even decades instead of hours or days as in the USA. Every 3 hours of work is followed by a teabreak or a siesta. This completely destroys innovation and entrepreneurship, there is zero drive to strive forward and better oneself, there is little incentive to make a better product or provide a better service.
It is a slacker's society living on borrowed time.
Your society has had a standard of living that you have never ever paid for.
Soon you will have to pay for the excesses of the last 60 years, be prepared to go back to working industrial revolution hours,80-100 hour weeks with extreme taxation and zero holidays.
In the US every two hours of work is legally followed by 10 min break, so 10AM and 3PM breaks are good for all workers.
You are making Europe sound like it is some sort of third world. US has been much more efficient no doubt but Europe is not 20 years behind by any means.
Europe does have many social programs which are a major drain on budgets and working mentality of people. However, I do not consider free health care such a program that encourages people to sit at home.
#1 cause of family bankruptcies in US is the sudden hit of the medical costs. When families come under such devastating financial stress it tends to break and traumatize them. This is not good for any country's best interests.
Items like Free medical care for all, free medications for senior citizens, free school lunches for kids, low interest student loans etc. are a much better investment into one's country than building a $150M F-22 and constantly poking nose up the rear of other nations and in turn blow up several trillions and have 50K severely crippled and handicapped young men join the demand for more social programs.
