50k+ new cases each day in US

strange ...

but why are we not hearing such dire situation in say cnn?
the message CNN is projecting is that things are in control.
we hardly hear covid related horrific news.

we do hear Ecuador is in very bad shape and there were lots of horrific news;
dead bodies were left in the open for days,
sick people can't find place in hospital,
hospitals were under staffed, not enough PPE ...

and in India, migrants had to walk to their hometown for many many days
during lock down.
some were caught and beaten up. some didn't make it due to traffccident ...

Deaths haven't started increasing, because the at risk stayed in hiding from the start, it barely touches the rest of the population, so no huge increase in deaths.

Sooner it spreads to the not at risk, sooner the at risk will be safe.

Airborne in shops as said ages ago on here confirmed, so if the lockdown lets you still go into shops, then the lockdown was pointless at stopping it.

Thankfully not the plague, WHO have handled this so badly if it was, we'd all be dead, although the plague is starting to make a come back.

we hardly hear any covid related horrific news.

This information comes from the press outside the US, so outside the influence of the US government. Less manipulation potential by the US government.

Watch in history. Mostly we hear the real horrible stories only long time after they happened. It is a matter of not causing chaos or strategic reason. I am sure that, if Trump is not reelected, there will be a lot of stories that will be published about crazy decisions he made and potential disasters that were avoided thanks to other people who intervened.

That's also the reason why a lot of reports are classified as top secret to only be published decades later.

Nuclear disaster at Tsjernobyl, Ukraine.

Another sample:
On 24 January 1961, a B-52 Stratofortress carrying two 3–4-megaton Mark 39 nuclear bombs broke up in mid-air near Goldsboro, North Carolina, dropping its nuclear payload in the process.[8] The pilot in command, Walter Scott Tulloch (grandfather of actress Bitsie Tulloch), ordered the crew to eject at 9,000 feet (2,700 m). Five crewmen successfully ejected or bailed out of the aircraft and landed safely, another ejected but did not survive the landing, and two died in the crash.[9] Information newly declassified in 2013 showed that one of the bombs came very close to detonating.

it looks strange ....

China has strict censorship law.
so you don't hear all the misery and heart wrenching news.

US has law to make sure there is freedom of expression.
But why the press are not talking much about the horrific covid related news?

Because it's a nothing, they've got new treatments available and they know better how to treat covid patients, which compared to NYC should greatly reduce the deaths.

Political pressure? The law is about theoretical freedom of expression.

Never noticed that people who were working for Trump and got fired, suddenly told different stories or stories that were never told? Or wanted to witness in court, what they before refused?

As long as you get paid by somebody you will not attack him.

well.

The truth will be known years later.
Or perhaps never.

So centuries later, when future generations talk about covid stuff, they would say
History is factual & accurate or
History has been manipulated & fabricated & tampered with or
History is biased.
