Lockdowns are a tough pill to swallow. Is there a better way to combat the virus without a vaccine? Is there a better way to block the virus' path of transmission?

There are only two choices here: "lock down" or elect for "herd immunity." I don't want to catch a novel virus that attacks lungs, vital organs and the brain.

WHO / Bill Gates for forcing US into lockdowns based on incorrect data on the death rate, which is between 25x's and 40x's off and also the hospital requirements which are much much lower than stated.

I am no talking about the lock down. I am talking a system that is ill prepared to deal with a novel virus, a lock down and social distancing?

As was mentioned, government workers aren't part of the ranks of the unemployed. Why is that?

Why doesn't private sector workers have the same safety net?

I don't want to catch a novel virus that attacks lungs, vital organs and the brain.

But only because you've been told to fear it on repeat from the media.

I've had it, I know 30+ people in the UK, all but 3 have had worse colds, 3 had bad colds, no 1 even at Flu level of sickness.

If your under 60 and haven't got Lung condition or a heart condition, then 99.999% you'll be absolutely fine.

And it doesn't attack Vital Organs or Brain ( lack of oxygen does that, with really bad symptoms only )


If you where capable of understanding it, you wouldn't be afraid and you'd realise, actually lockdowns are massive over reactions.

But that'll never happen, can't compete against the media and flashy graphics.

Because they work for the government, which just prints out more money and looks after there own, getting rid of them would give the impression there not important and don't actually have a role to play, which would caste a shadow over all all of them.

Real private sector businesses have costs and profits and bills to pay and have had to close as they can't operate.

For the first few weeks I agreed with a lockdown - lets feel this thing out and not overwhelm the hospitals if it's bad.

It turns out something like 80% of cases are asymptomatic. If you're in the at-risk population shelter in place (if you want) until a vaccine comes out. There's no point doing it for everyone else unless...

Yes, it's about control. The government is now using this crisis to test out all these superpowers Obama/Bush/Clinton/Bush/Reagan had put in place through executive orders. FEMA and the DHS (pick your acronyms and leaders for your country) are test driving their new "budget producers" - here in the states you get budget by being wasteful. The fed can continue to do it's job of devaluing our currency and bringing a one world government one step closer.

So no. I think the lockdown is worthless now that we are looking at more than another month of it. Small businesses are going be crushed. Suicides are going to outpace this virus. There's already massive competition for the only hiring companies. Children are going to be set back 1 year or more because of the cruddy online education. I advocate for having personal responsibility. Here in America, we don't need a god damn nanny state.

Well, if the government is mandating that private businesses close, then it should subsidize those businesses and employees as well. It's not hard-- all they need to do is "print money," right? But wait, that's Socialism. We can't have that, under no circumstances, right? Well, unless it's 2008.
