30,000,000+ unemployed in only 6 weeks!

If you want to be reckless with your health, then do so. Just don't encourage others to do the same.

a) already had, but wasn't 100% sure and still took care of mate sick with it, not going to hide away like some girl, even at 50% death rate I'd of been there.

b) the risk is so small, don't know your age and medical history but your likely 30's and healthy so 1 in 10,000 chance, but your life if you want to hide that's your call.

Well, if the government is mandating that private businesses close, then it should subsidize those businesses and employees as well. It's not hard-- all they need to do is "print money," right? But wait, that's Socialism. We can't have that, under no circumstances, right? Well, unless it's 2008.

You know you'll be TAXED on that later when this mess is over right, if you still have a job, you might find when back that the knock on effect loses your job aswell.

You don't get nothing for free.

We can live with being taxed later. Many can't live with starving, now.

Then don't go outside.

For the first few weeks I agreed with a lockdown - lets feel this thing out and not overwhelm the hospitals if it's bad.

It turns out something like 80% of cases are asymptomatic. If you're in the at-risk population shelter in place (if you want) until a vaccine comes out. There's no point doing it for everyone else unless...

Yes, it's about control. The government is now using this crisis to test out all these superpowers Obama/Bush/Clinton/Bush/Reagan had put in place through executive orders. FEMA and the DHS (pick your acronyms and leaders for your country) are test driving their new "budget producers" - here in the states you get budget by being wasteful. The fed can continue to do it's job of devaluing our currency and bringing a one world government one step closer.

So no. I think the lockdown is worthless now that we are looking at more than another month of it. Small businesses are going be crushed. Suicides are going to outpace this virus. There's already massive competition for the only hiring companies. Children are going to be set back 1 year or more because of the cruddy online education. I advocate for having personal responsibility. Here in America, we don't need a god damn nanny state.
Don't forget spousal murder rate will spike under lock down, especially wives killing husbands. I think I got the direction correct but don't hesitate to go contra.

Fair few cases, mostly men killing entire family including themselves.

Mainly, heart attacks and stroke, don't want to go to hospital, having heart attack but that scared ( thanks media ) you prefer to stay home and die, makes no sense.

2000 per week, 60million people on lockdown so expected.

Normal day 1650 people die in the UK and zero media attention, add 30% to that and everyone loses there shit.

Just because he got unlucky doesn't mean he wasn't right, he played the odds being on the side he'll be fine and lost like a man.

better than hiding away scared for years to come.

Why do you insist on using the pejorative "hiding?" I makes you come across as childish. No one is hiding. People are abiding by stay at home orders. We are a nation of laws, right?

Anywhere we can go check the IV on that currently. I bet it is pretty high.
