3 minute push up challenge

Congrats on the Army. Are you right out of high school or older? What specialty are you going into. Many many many moons ago I got accepted into Army Intelligence school.

Thanks, I'm 24 with my degree, so working on going in as an officer. I was supposed to attend the selection board this week actually but had medical paperwork delay me again so now looking at June unless they move the date. This board was moved up by a month last minute so hoping the next one will be moved up as well.

I wish I could directly pick on the officer side, but you have to rank the fields you desire. Infantry, intelligence, and aviation are my top 3 though.

I think I've made it known on here I'm working on going into the army currently, well every Wednesday about 10-15 of us do a workout with the recruiters. It's usually brutal. Ends with a crazy competition that you do not want to lose.

Anyways, the other day at the end of our workout they had us all get into a circle in the push-up position. We had to go around 1 at a time and do a push-up, then after everybody went we had to do 2 and so on up to 5 then stopped for a minute then back down from 5 to 1. If anybody dropped or put a knee down we had to start over. Push-ups themselves were easy. Hardest part was my lower back and core were burnt out and my rear delts were on fire also. We have some people in the group that have a very long ways to go before shipping out so needless to say we were in the push-up position for quite awhile lol.

I workout with a Seal team group (taught by a former Seal, of course). We do a form of that called the "dirty dozen". 1-12 and the 12-1.

I'm sure that makes for a nice workout haha. All those tier 1 and 2 guys are insane. Their endurance is unreal. Special Forces (Green Beret) is my ultimate goal. Sucky part about going in as an officer is it is roughly a 5 year track to get to that level where as enlisted you can go straight through basic to selection....I guess on the bright side that gives me 5 years to train...granted I will be 29-30 instead of 24 at that point.

That's solid. I still have yet to do it. Just left the recruiters though and we did another 1 minute test. I got 55 so exact same as last time but about 5 he didn't count because I didn't lock out my elbows fully :banghead: so potentially could have improved my number a bit without that screw up.

I will eventually do this 3 minute test lol

Never tried more than 60, didn`t even think about it.But my pullups were 35-40.

Was 3 years ago, now i`m getting fatso by eating and drinking every minute and could care less...

Triple G is doing 700-800 abs per training session.

The number of this era is '100'.The secret is that,if you do anything above 100, it`ll get you above an average guy automatically.

Are you talking about simple ab crunches?
