A little different than this debate...
The U.S. government has used "mandatory vaccination" against your will although people today it as "forced vaccination"....regardless, it's the same.
----------
In 1832, Congress passed legislation — the Indian Vaccination Act — that allowed the federal government to use about $17,000 to hire doctors to vaccinate Native Americans who were living near White frontier settlements. Many White settlers feared that Indians would spread the disease to them.
----------
My grand father once told me that his father (my great grandfather) refused vaccination because the people thought the government was trying to kill them off via the vaccine to take their land after the government had failed to kill them off via intentionally bringing smallpox into the Native community that the Native Americans had no immunity.
People from the U.S. government that were hired to support the vaccination effort via the Indian Vaccination Act...pointed a gun at his wife and three kids until my great grandfather comply (he got vaccinated).
Fast forward, in Native American Boarding Schools...children were forced into vaccinations.
