Those links are a little frightening Jem.

The human population has bottlenecked down to as low as 18,500 individuals repeatedly. Some of those bottlenecks correlate to ice-age type conditions some of which are attributed to volcanism and others to asteroids. Once an ice-sheet has built up sufficiently the earths albedo increases producing a regenerative feedback making icy conditions last for thousands of years at a time.

Doesn't matter anyhow. The argument among the scientists is over. AGW is real and will get worse unless we do something about it. Taxing carbon is the best way. Centralized govt control and international cooperation will be needed.
