You need to be very careful with tharps premises, his r-multiples are astoundingly unrealistic in magnitude (specifically his position sizing game).

True, I believe those Tharp seminar games are for the purpose of exaggerating position sizing effects, to get the playerz to understand how important it is.

Tharp did mention a trader who had about a 75% win rate and 1R average win. He claimed this trader had the holy grail, because with a win rate that high, drawdowns do not persist.

What I got from Tharp is that some of the best traders only win 50% of the time, but they follow their rules which have a positive expectancy.

:)

Pretending "r" multiples are Geometric vs Arithmetic per period is so egregiously wrong it's misleading IMHO.

I used think this. But it was just my limited beliefs in that i personally had not found any good high r-multiple system!
Over the years i have been able to pin down more and more large moves in the market, and filter out more and more fake outs. This is not from curve fitting but actual market observations being fed back into my trading system.

Anyway this is Nekes journal and we shouldn't get side tracked, having big wins (relative to losses) is the most robust way to trade for a retail trader, and letting profits run (and adding to winners) so as to have big winning days and weeks is something Neke definitely needs to work on at the moment.

Oh jeez, another example of someone who can read but can't understand. Read the book again and if you still don't get it then well, fuck it i don't care!!

anyway, whats the point of this thread?!

It's a journal of Neke's journey.
A journal is defined as "A daily record of news and events of a personal nature; a diary.", many here don't seem to understand this.

I can say this for Neke. He is a brave man to post his exact PnL every week. Most guys if they were losing would either hide and not post OR they would lie that they had a SLIGHTLY down week.

Neke, I'm assuming at this point, you will keep trading until you hit ZERO or you make progress?

With all due respect, have you gone idiotic over time?

Who the hell trades cash when you are consistently losing?

Big losses small winners, what are you trying to do destroy the little wealth you got left?

This is not about trading anymore, this is about common sense now.
