15,000 Dow

Nice little climb of 100+ points on the Dow today (14th).

Champion, I'm on the e-mailing list of a swing and momentum commentator who sends out intermittent opinions. On Monday his missive looked to the Dow to be still around 10500 at the end of this month with a pullback to 9000/9500 before a further major upward leg .. wasn't sure whether he meant before or after the end of this month for his pullback.

Is there anyone doing swing calculations who can enlighten us as to their current expectations?
 
I notice from the swing and momentum forecast I received on Thursday (22nd) a further upward leg predicted on the Dow to 10800/11000.

Friday's close would seem to negate that for the moment although new higher numbers on the Dow will undoubtedly return.
 
February 12 the DOW made it to around 10750 .. 3 steps of 250 points each on a postulated 20 steps from 10,000 to 15,000.

Ok so current pullback is of some 500+ points .. 2 steps back so to speak.

Is the pullback finished as at this morning?

Deflation factors ro consider:

Molecular economy and bit economy2.3 billion population in India and China that will be mobilized to work cheaper and throughout spectrum of job needs.

Bit economy Cheaper bit gear in all phases of application for the foreseeable future.

Baby boomers retire and go to a survival style of living thus shrinking economy sector.

Japan is buying our debt (gov't bonds).

What else is in the picture?

Greatest deficits ever vis a vis Government.

Government tax income on the wane.

Balance of payments is worsening as we purchase more and more from labor force overseas.


What can the US do?

What is wrong with this picture?

If US leadership cannot do what is required to get our global relationship established properly, we as individuals are going to have to secure our future and appreciate our capital wealth in the approporiate global markets. Anyone who cannot get this accomplished is going to suffer greatly.
 
The DOW pullback went from 10750 on Feb 12 down to 10000 on Mar 24 .. a concise 750 point drop. From there the bull resurgence got the DOW up 500 points to 10500 on Friday (Apr 2).

So on my scale 3 steps back and 2 steps forward (250 points per step).

Where to next for the mighty DOW?
 
:confused: 15000 maybe by the year 2020. since when did the bear market end? have you ever heard of government propaganda? i'll put my money on the rydex tempest fund.
