I attended a middle school the first year it opened.... early '60s. I and others were contacted and invited to come celebrate some anniversary of the school... 20 years or something.

Many of the old teachers were there... most a bit hunched over, wearing hearing aids, etc.

One of them commented to me... "You kids were a pleasure to teach. You did your homework and wanted to learn... today, we're more like prison guards than teachers"..

That was 30 years ago. Imagine the deterioration today.

Makes me PUKE to realize the majority of the property taxes I pay go to the school district... mostly to baby-sit lazy, juvenile delinquents.
