You don't need to spend excessively with the right connections in place and a willingness to play very dirty and illegal. But you know what? I think I'll just wait and see. I like the trajectory thus far and am willing to wait for all the pieces to fall into place. I have no doubt that the Russians were actively engaged; this cannot be in dispute anymore in light of the mounting evidence. As for Trump, if Mueller exonerates him and the remainder of his inner circle, then so be it. I won't second-guess it. But if I had to bet a dollar, that's not how I'd bet it will play out; there's just too much smoke for me to ignore. And just because Trump denies wrongdoing doesn't make it so (refer to Putin's denials of culpability to Trump, according to Trump). You know Trump is fast and loose and played dirty in business. And look at all the stuff we now fairly well know Trump actually did that he vigorously denied.
