Yes, Hunter’s dad came out the winner last night. He caused himself no harm and that is all he needed.

The front on Warren just opened up and she has a lot of weaknesses. I’m sticking with my gut on this, black women voters do not support her and black women choose democrat candidates.

Until those voters move this race will continue to be a two person race with Biden in the lead.

This is the biggest crock of shit. No one believes this line that Joe Biden is corrupt and as a Trump supporter you’re appalled.

People are hyper-focused on whether Joe is functional in the debates or not, and that is understandable because the whole purpose of the debates is to make a big public spectacle out of everything and the media mostly makes its living by parsing words rather doing any serious analysis so they give a lot of visibility to public conflict.

Meanwhile though, on a more mundane, less-hyped level, Joe's cash position is very, very poor. He took in 2 million less than he spent in Q3 with not much in reserve. A lot, lot, lot less than about three of the other lesser known candidates. And this clambake has not even begun yet. There is a long, long way to go. Joe's plan was to rectify this situation by making all these private meetings around the country - particularly Hollywood and Silicon Valley- with god-level donors which he did, but all the signs are that the big donors are skitterish about Joe now and the money is just flowing very poorly right as he needs to ramp up even more.

Joe needs to be very worried about his cash position - not just his record player comments and gaffs. I would not want to be the one to try to run a winning campaign with the cash he has on hand and projected receivables.

He better fix that situation by the end of the 4th quarter, because the primaries begin right after it ends and that is the worst time to be broke.

I don't see it coming together for Joe. I just don't see it.

So from a cash point of view you have a valid point. These races will be close and ground game will make a difference.

But from a philosophical standpoint big donors are a lefty left thing, that’s not Biden’s core supporters. Neither is all of this high minded banking stuff Warren cares about.

Biden has thedem base. The base cares about civil rights, equal opportunity, unions, healthcare and education. He is right on all of those issues, Warren is not.

All he needed for what? To keep sliding into second place? Yeh what an accomplishment that is/was.

You seem to be hung up on the idea that because Warren got attacked and exposed on a few issues that it is somehow fatal to her onward march. Well, it isn't. Her dishing it out and taking it on the chops- even if wavering on the issues- will only convince more dems that she is capable of standing up to Trump. Even those who do not believe that Joe has been wounded in the dem debates know that dealing with Trump will be fifty times more difficult, well beyond what disoriented Joe can deal with. They dont believe that about Warren. In other words, Joe's whole shtick- that he is the best one to stand up to Trump- is collapsing.

But you come along and assure us that all he needed to do was leave the stage in piece last night to be a winner. Sorry Cowboy. Dems see the bloodbath coming and are looking for more than just a participation trophy from candidates to show that they are the one to pin their hopes and campaign contributions on. Particularly since Trump has owned Biden completely with this Hunter thing and had him on the ropes and had Hunter appearing on TV for an interview etc. Joe cannot deal with Trump. It is too long a battle.

Not necessarily a lefty-left thing. Bernie is raising plenty of cash from small donors.
And Warren I guess is doing the same but has some large donors mixed in, or at least is being criticized for it. I dont know.

But the point is to have some type of a goddam plan. Joe is not raising it from big donors, nor does he have a small donor online campaign generating cash. No one has any idea what his fundraising plan is and that would be fine as long as the funds were coming in at a good rate but they are not. The Biden plan covered for Joe by saying that it is because he came in to the race late, but he came in with their saying that he had all this name recognition and that everyone was holding back for him to come in so that they could donate. Oops.

It smells of an old DNC mentality. That the dnc will do all the work and the states will do all the work for the designated dud. Your mentality bespeaks that old out-dated model too. You point out that Joe represents the traditional base so somehow that will make the funds and the support appear. Get rid of that old dnc-dud, Hillary type mentality. You gotta raised the funds, and you gotta do the work on the campaign trail like your life depends on it. Sleepy Joe acts like he is some sort of quasi-incumbent and just needs to show up for a meeting with the firefighters union once a week or so, and a rally consists of rubbing the shoulders of old ladies down at the diner.

You are excessively covering for Joe. He has no fire in his belly and it shows in many ways, including financially.

Democrats are looking at who can beat Trump. I hear you saying the time is right now those numbers are going to change for Joe Biden.

I’m saying no. The Hunter Biden thing is big on your side but dem voters see it for what it is, nothing.

I’m also saying that Warren is not getting to the dem base. I don’t care what you say, she did not do it last night. She has a lot of work to do and her numbers are shaky.

We’ll agree to disagree but there will be polling and I don’t see to much movement but you never know you may be right that now is the time Biden goes down.
