Easy.....everyone write their local politicians and insist that an internet vote be held, and adhered to.....

One has a choice....

Want to stay on the road to Haiti with Obama and Pelosi ?

Or

Want to welcome the US to the next Golden Age ?????

Simple choice

Tell your local polys if they do not get it done....you will make it your major goal in life to make sure that they never see political office again....

Votes are the only thing dear to them.....

Fucking CNBC doing another segment on trans tax right now

they are part of the "empire" communication way... don't expect much from them... However they are still good men ( particularly the one in Chicago^^ )

A decent new article with some good counter-arguments:

http://industry.bnet.com/financial-...s-fear-a-transaction-tax-would-wipe-them-out/

More broadly, O’Brien defends the rights of speculators, while dismissing the notion that securities trading contributed to the financial crisis. “What right right does Congress have to put a tax on something that you don’t even know if you’re going to make money on?” he said. “This isn’t a tax on whether I make money — it’s a tax on transactions.”

A source I spoke with in Washington put the chances at less than 20 percent, adding that “the votes just aren’t there” in the Senate.

Quote from SNBthetrue:

nearly right... but I am surely wrong... but did you see that in old videos about politics ( like 30's 40's ) the people in congress or behind president in their appearance were older than today...

But it's not to perpetuate the power of themselves but to those who have the leverage of pressure to put them down...

We have to realize is that the old Emperor 80+ ( the market creates empreror ) were surprised with the computer / internet revolution... they are still totally unable to manage it...

That's a short period in humanity were we all share togheter information ! there is so much hope... it's impossible to go back. It's like fluiddynamic... if you let the people trade ( ideas, opinions, shares etc... ) they can't accept to go back.... It will not stop them to try to bring the people down... as they know it's the last time in history that they have this possiblity... if not they will have to adapt... but it's too late for them... hahahha they can't write on a keyboard :)

I agree, they are trying to stop the wind. Still, at some level any law needs to make sense. This one doesnt. Only if you try to marginalize a few, to pander for the many.
