How is 25% Unemployment even sustainable? You would think some kind of overthrow of the government would occur once you start reaching such stratospheric levels of unemployment.

How are they keeping the masses quiet there and the economy moving in spain?

These are not as yet counted in spanish statistics.

Also, some people become poor, as they were subjected to medical experimentations without their agreement while in the military. Obviously now it makes sense why the "poor" are favorably recruited in that.
Other people become poor also because some "rich" assholes make them poor so as to have people they can use or abuse. So it is best to think in terms of good/bad people, instead of rich/poor.
Other people become poor when their whole family has a dramatic accident...
So always assume you or your children or all your grandchildren might be next - given enough time.
