1/2 of teachers in US come from bottom 1/3 of their class

Quote from gwb-trading:

...Should we be blaming teachers for the continuing demise of public education in the U.S.? No...
You don't think they and their unions have anything to do with our lousy public education?

I don't live in a state with teaching unions. Maybe in places like NYC you can blaming teaching unions.... but many states don't allow teachers to unionize.

You think our standards to be a teacher are sufficiently high?

LOL

You just described my exact opinion of YOU. You're averse to ANY information that doesn't confirm your, often silly, preconceived notions. You're biased and closed minded to the extreme yet accuse others that disagree with you of the same. You prefer statements that start with "I think" to any facts or studies.
You virtually never if ever admit you're wrong. You think you know better than experts in their field. You think you're much smarter than you really are.

Stick to what you know asshole. Driving nails and roofing.

I think bigarrow has fallen off a few roofs too many. You know, one doesn't always land feet first on many of those occasions. Tuck and roll doesn't work when you hit head first on the driveway. :D

The current standards are that you need a four year degree in education, have one semester student teaching in a class-room, pass the Praxis 1 and 2 tests for your subject area(s), and have a perfectly clean criminal background to get your teaching license.

What do you think the standards should be? Most other professions have similar requirements. Go into law, you need to get your JD degree and pass the bar exam. Go into RN nursing, you need your 4 year nursing degree with one semester practical, and pass your state licensing exams. Many other similar examples...

Another example of your willful (hopefully) ignorance. I think I'll run down to the local bar for a beer and talk to someone that's civil and nice. Catch you later.

The truth hurts...Lucrum pegged you perfectly.
