Post your live Forex trades here...

Nice call :) did you have a target posted or did I miss it? I am actually still short from several days ago looking for 0.9000 zone. Sorry, I know it's not a live call technically, but I just noticed this thread.

Ghost of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

Hey Niko, Although a hinge was formed, my reason for the short at that time was based on pre-market where price wasn't able to stay above the 80-82 area ( not visible in the snapshot you posted - a little earlier though). Then failed again after the open. So instead of a hinge I treated this...

Bride of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

I've done the same thing with much success over the last few months. I hardly every daytrade because of work but swing trading works just the same. I appreciate DB taking the time to remind that keeping things simpler is best. I trade price action as described here in the thread (and the AHG...

Son of If You Can Draw a Straight Line . . .

Yes, I would agree with Raaiman's post of the hourly just above. The hourly resistance turned support and price's inability to break below and instead bouncing back up. *as well as previous support from the 23rd. I actually didn't have an hourly chart pulled up. I was just going off of...

I would not have taken a long there because for me the supply line would not have been broken yet. (chart is cst)

    Making of a method

The difference between you visually seeing a resistance area on a chart, and price itself proving that the resistance is valid through PA. A lower high or double top. I believe this is what DB was referring to, but I'm sure he can correct if I'm wrong.

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

Yeah I'm looking for 50 to be tested tomorrow as a support area, but trying not to have a bias :)

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

DB, I posted the weekly chart above. This is the daily. Since we are at resistance on the daily, one should expect some selling before continuing the climb up, if that happens to be the case, correct?

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

Would like to hear your thoughts for the day. I didn't trade, but after going over the charts I think that I would have been looking short after price broke above 3100 but couldn't stay there. I would have re-entered long at one of the early retraces, but the first short trade would have been...

exited at 78. Was holding for 72-73 but have to leave. Have a good Friday and holiday (US anyway) weekend everyone.

Took a short off the open to test 88 as you metioned. Am holding for a test of 84 now. edit: I know you said you wouldn't do anything until price got to 88. Just mentioned the trade bc you had already thrown 88 out there since it was tested a few times overnight.

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

Mine were an hour or so later after your first trade. The second time was a revenge trade for the 1st, so I called it quits for the day and did something else. I was waiting for that big retrace back down that we finally got this afternoon :) Buyers weren't done yet though, and with the...

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

When price couldn't stay above 86 for 4 or 5 min (8:39-8:44cst), did you consider a short? I didn't short there, but I tried a couple shorts a little while after and took a couple small losses. The strong move up was the reason I didn't try that area. Price actually made yesterday's high...

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

took two losses today trying to call the top and anticipate the break of the demand line. I even initially had a long target of 98-00 area which I ignored and started looking for the reversal. Was too afraid to jump in long since I missed the big run up from the open. not happy with myself...

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

thank you sir :) btw, appreciate all of your input. (others as well) DB, I understand that price is continuous, but how much attention, if any, do you pay to wave size when determining price direction? This is where hinges or triangles, whatever you want to call them come into play. The...

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

yes really. I am reading through again though. I see that forty typically uses the hourly chart to to decipher s/r areas as well as the midpoint of the range. When he mentioned 3119.50 as the approx midpoint of the former 3090.75 - 3148 range, I had that drawn as a range on my daily chart...

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

forty, when deciding on the range you're going to look at, do you typically keep the hourly charts as your highest time frame, or do you start with the daily and work your way down? I've been starting as high as the monthly lately. Sorry if you've answered this before, I just finished reading...

    Help, I've been chopped!

Here's a trade from today. I was +7 ticks at one point but was holding for a larger target as the lows had been taken out, and I thought the bottom was in. I ended up -8 ticks. My biggest issue when it comes to "chop" is moving my stop. There would have been plenty of times my target would...
