What you see in T&S depends on your data subscriptions plus TWS will aggregate the live feed so it doesn't fall behind. I think it updates three times a second.

GoldDigger - I assume you're using the web interface. Once a year there's a mandatory account confirmation I need to step through. When I sign into the web site I'm stuck until it's complete. Is this what you're talking about? Normally I use TWS which doesn't force me into account management.

If you trust me you can download standalone 1012.2v here. I download the current standalone version once in a while just in case.

Why not use a standalone version now that you understand the issues? IB sort of supports older versions but at some point cuts them off and forces an upgrade.

On my grayed out layouts it says "This layout is already open". Other layouts are available. I guess a layout isn't a template. I haven't looked into duplicating a layout.
