Sell Dvy - Eric Bolling Play

Some of those traders, like Cohen, are in the business of making longterm directional trades and therefore are more qualified to give related advice. Bolling is a shorterm NG trader. He shouldn't be giving advice on the direction of Goog, so a bunch of retail investors can go and blindly follow...

Sell Dvy - Eric Bolling Play

Perfectly stated. Why is this guy giving longterm directional advice on NG and other securities. CNBC is such a joke. Save Melissa Francis, it is not even worth watching.

    DIA/SPY Pair Trade

That is YOUR definition or a definition you lifted. A pair trade is simply betting that one security will outperform another security. If I believe, which I do, that the dow will outperfrom the S&P 500 and if Iam worried about overall market direction, which I am, it is a trade that, at the very...

Sell Dvy - Eric Bolling Play

He once said that the fastmoney trade of the day was betting that Tiger Woods would win some golf tourney; it ended up being the first cut tiger missed during his entire career. LOL. Pure fucking hubris.

Are you going to be a regular poster. I think I learned more from your 5 posts than I did since I've been a member here. Also, what are the names of the books you've written or are you trying to remain anonymous.

Sell Dvy - Eric Bolling Play

Don't know him, but why go on CNBC. I have no respect for traders that go on CNBC. They either can't trade, like Cramer, or need the publicity, like Bolling.

Will the markets sell off after November 7, 2006?

Yeah, this market is looking for an excuse to selloff. Everyone knows the rally is not sustainable. I do not know about all the greek theta beta alpha shit, but I know an overbought market when I see one.

Is it possible to be successful in two distinct strategies. For example, can someone be a successful futures scalper and a successful momentum trader ,etc.

Will the markets sell off after November 7, 2006?

History will repeat itself, but which history. Why can't the 2000 post-election market selfoff serve as a model for this upcoming election? Personally, I think election results and news in general will have very little effect on the markets. The market will do what it wants to do. If it wants an...

I just read a great applicable quote the other day: "There is no such thing as a 50 million dollar publicly traded company."

    DIA/SPY Pair Trade

Becuase of the way the dow is weighted and reconfigured, is there a high probability that, over the long run, it will always out perfrom the S&P500. It almost seems as though the dow is manipulated in a manner that virtually guarentees it will make new highs every half decade or so.

    ET Posters As Contrarian Indicators

No offense taken. My question was in response to a thread I was reading, and the idea of using the posters as a contrarian indicator arose. Everyone was bearish on a certain stock. I thought about buying some premarket, which I did not do. The stock is down significantly.

    ET Posters As Contrarian Indicators

So your answer is no. Thank you. It was a question, not a suggestion.

    ET Posters As Contrarian Indicators

I think my OP got misconstrued. I simply meant to ask has anyone used an ET poster (or the ET posts in general) as a contrarian indicator. If the majority of the ET board is bullish on US equites, has anyone used that as a sign to go short? Also, if someone has a propensity to make losing...
