Sell Dvy - Eric Bolling Play

Quote from BDGBDG:

Don't know him, but why go on CNBC. I have no respect for traders that go on CNBC. They either can't trade, like Cramer, or need the publicity, like Bolling.

As opposed to the true genius of anonymous message board posters........

Quote from Maverick74:

I would say Eric Bolling is the most profitable natural gas trader in the world and certainly the largest. He was trained by Mark Fisher (one of the most profitable crude traders in the world) and is his number one trader.

You really should not make assumptions about people unless you know the facts. Guys go on TV usually because they want the exposure to leg into a media career when they are done trading. This guy is not a kid anymore. He's been in the pits for almost 20 years. That's a life man. He has made his money, I'm sure in the next 5 years he'll be doing something more media related. Why not? I'm sure ego has a lot to do with it too.

You say exposure, I say publicity. Aren't we saying the exact same thing.

He once said that the fastmoney trade of the day was betting that Tiger Woods would win some golf tourney; it ended up being the first cut tiger missed during his entire career. LOL. Pure fucking hubris.

Publicity has no bearing on the guys ability to trade.

And of course his ability to trade NG is uncorrelated to any ability or lack of to his stock market calls. Just as one wouldn't ask Dwyane Wade to hit a curve or to cover T.O. in the flat.

Taleb lives!

And picking stocks is not trading. I wouldn't take a stock pick from James Simmons, Steve Cohen, PTJ, Mark Fisher, Blair Hull, Ed Van Thorp, Tom Baldwin, Marge Teller, or Ken Griffin either.

Perfectly stated. Why is this guy giving longterm directional advice on NG and other securities. CNBC is such a joke. Save Melissa Francis, it is not even worth watching.

Some of those traders, like Cohen, are in the business of making longterm directional trades and therefore are more qualified to give related advice. Bolling is a shorterm NG trader. He shouldn't be giving advice on the direction of Goog, so a bunch of retail investors can go and blindly follow his advice.
