    Increased Blue Sheet activity

So is anyone else feeling the pain of the increased Blue Sheet activity as of late? It never used to be this bad. For most of you, I know this is transparent, but to the few: I feel for you all. I used to get requests from Blue Sheets maybe 1 every other day. Now it's almost 5-10 per day!

Is fully automated trading a fantasy? Your opinions here

No, not necessarily. My definition of "scalable" I guess is my own definition. One old system we traded for maybe 5 years only performed to a certain optimal peak cash level that the market could absorb. One of our main systems now can take maybe 100x the cash over the system mentioned above...

Is fully automated trading a fantasy? Your opinions here

Fully automated systems do exist. I have been in the game since around early 2000. Returns over the years have ranged around 100% monthly to other more scalable systems that currently do 20% monthly on average and even the more scalable systems do have their limitations. What is your negotiated retail rate?

Way back when we were retail, our rate was 2.2 mils/share with a max ticket of $5.00 plus ECN rebate/minus ECN charges plus SEC. Now we are self clearing and get much much better rates.

To all of us who collocate: What do you name your machines?

Hey there, This thread is just for fun: Over the years, I have named many machines that have been in the many collocation facilities. I have found interesting some of the names that I have seen. It seems that most people name their machines (for identification) names of Wizards (Gandalf...

Does anyone know when SEC will change the Market Data Rebates?

Well, I know its April 1st now. Does anyone know the new formulas? I know it has something to do with 50% quotes and 50% prints, but I do not know the exact formula. Any ideas?

Does anyone know when SEC will change the Market Data Rebates?

Hmmm..no takers I see. I know that the SEC has proposed a new formula not for liquidity rebates, but market data rebates (like Tape A, B,C). I just don't know the status of this and when it is supposed to go in force. Any ideas?
