    Technical indicator scanning

Which platforms or software packages do a great job of letting one customize technical indicator scans? i'm wanting something that can handle futures as well as stocks. I have ESignal MarketScreener plus but it is very limited in what it can do the way it seems. Thx GM

    U.S. Corn Acres

well, that report back in March would was construed as a little bullish for beans relative to corn. I'm telling you since that report, in my opinion, we've remained too wet and now some of those acres intended for corn....are going to beans....because we are going to start getting late for corn...

    U.S. Corn Acres

The USDA will issue a report that shows planted acres i believe on June 30th. My bias is that we are too wet to get the projected 92 million acres planted which is the number they announced in the March 29 2019 planting intentions report. Here's a link to an article about the planting...

    U.S. Corn Acres

Corn is not getting planted on time due to extreme wet weather. Fertilizer didn't get put on timely in the fall so it makes it easier for farmers to switch to soybeans now....stay tuned. Don't be surprised of some acreage switching to beans, soon.

Cost to crush a bushel of soybean

The actual "operating costs" of north american crush plants usually run around 40 to 50c per bu. Utilities, labor, shrink, depreciation etc.

    Corn vs. Soybeans trading

Brownsfan is right. Soybeans usually are quite volatile. Stick to the contracts with the most volume. July and Nov soybeans are fundamentally the most relevant months to the commercials. December and July corn futures contracts are the most used by corn hedgers.

    Farmland ownership?

Quoting IOWA farmland prices is akin to a teenager getting quotes on a ferrari for his first car. There are opportunities out there, but you will get reamed buying Iowa/Minnesota land right now. There are 50 states and there is farmland for sale in all of them. Right now, i know of raw ag land...

    Farmland opps

Farmland is not tough to invest in. Probably the most passive/easy of ALL real estate investments. You buy it, rent it out. No plumbing to fix. No shingles blowing off. Don't have to collect rent every month. But don't just take my word for it...
