A lot of apes got torched by TRCH last 2 days.

WSB has Degenerated into a huge PnD Forum. RIP.

I enjoy Reddit, but it is difficult to find anything of merit there. The pumps only last a few hours or minutes, and leave the late comers holding bags when the rug is pulled. The forums are filled with people YOLOing into shit stocks like WISH CLOV MVIS etc, often with very short DTE calls...

    Consensus about AMC breaking 14?

AMC is having a battle at the 14 level. Leaving large wicks where it tries to rally past 14 and can't for the last 4 days. Based on the volume it should be higher. But a large seller is trying to hold it below. So it will break one way or the other. If the buyers persist it could hit 20 again...

are people in the US starting to live like people in 3rd world countries

The US treats poor people a lot better than many countries. You can get food and housing benes, and possibly an Obama phone.

are people in the US starting to live like people in 3rd world countries

We have been losing the middle class and moving towards a two tiered society of haves and have nots, like the third world. That is a trend it behooves everyone to try and reverse. India is probably more like fourth world economy.

Any smartphone traders? I traded all day on my iPhone

I do it but hate it. No substitute for a terminal IMO.

Is Gold The Savior When The Markets Crash?

I think gold has more reverse correlation with your currency than your stock market, wherever you reside. In a crash you can short or buy puts, that served me well 2008-2009.

    $TSLA

My question is why the owners of TSLA stock, the ones with billions at stake, are still putting up with this guy. When big owhers start selling they will hire an operator to do it. It will enter a downtrend, but behave much differently than it is now. look up distribution pattern. They won't...

Elon Musk says short selling should be illegal, ridiculates SEC

I know Elon was a school drop out, but shorts are part of the market. The way he can beat them is with results that keep increasing the value and stock price. Cars are commodity products, not tech. Electric cars in general are not yet ready for prime time. Too expensive, too difficult and time...

Elon Musk says short selling should be illegal, ridiculates SEC

Man this guy is really losing it. For a CEO of a public company to speak like this is just insane.

If you look at how much top management has bailed out, I think the insiders know the ship can't float and will be going down. The model 3 costs 55K, would not be in my top 10 for a 55k car.

    Buying options for a living

I tend to like long options as a short term rental. A few days to ride a trend. I view them like staying in a hotel as opposed to renting an apartment. Common wisdom says most options expire worthless, so I almost never hold to expiration. I take what I can get and get out. I also sell losers...

Elon Musk Can Remain Tesla CEO but Must Step Aside as Chairman in SEC Settlement

TSLA has a big cash flow problem if the stock remains below 360 due to the convertible bonds. That could take them down next year. In general no one has really built a successful start up car brand in the last 50 years or so. Cars are commodity products, Tesla will be no different, existing...

Deliveries are up, quality is down. No 35k model 3 possible at this time unless they want to lose 6k per vehicle. Buy buy buy.

Elon Musk Can Remain Tesla CEO but Must Step Aside as Chairman in SEC Settlement

It is a very bad precedent. Tells insiders you can crush the shorts for billions, and pay a small fine. Market cap went up over 10 bil after statement.Really shows how impotent the SEC is unless you are a smaller fish.

Which segment is more profitable, equity or commodity

At your limited level of experience you should likely start with equities, you will lose your money less quickly.

Some existing car company will probably buy this POS company at about $2.00 per share, or more likely out of bankruptcy. They do not have adequate capitalization to survive. Disclosure I worked in the Auto industry for a manufacturer and as a vendor for 20+ years. I have 2019 puts on TSLA.

    Very conservative consistent strategy?

IB pays 1.4% on cash deposits. Some brokers may pay more. Most don't. Seeking higher returns beyond that, risk will increase.

I would stay in cash until we get a major pullback or bear market. Then IWM QQQ AMZN.

What if Karen the Super Trader had an effective hedge?

Bobby, Thanks for the confirmation that you are an idiot. I kinda thought so but know it now. Maple Leaf Capital has been doing this since 2002 and still trading and running money and being successful. They have a team working on their vol database and testing, and they know 95 + % of strats...
