There is no "gender-imbalance" issue that requires global solutions. Even hiring women only wouldn't do it b/c it has no practical merits. There is no structural issue in existence of 2 genders. Next time just ask a complaining woman what she wants you to do?

If women are better traders and asset managers why do they need someone to pay them salary? Why would someone decide to pay a talented & highly profitable woman lower salary just b/c she is a woman? What business sense does it make?
I don't think much has changed b/c companies raising capital don't want to bother with non-accredited investors. Probably b/c there is much more paperwork for them.
