Do you trade specific symbols only OR does your strategy scan the market with a criteria ?

Pretty well. You want to see those results repeat.

How will YOU determine that we have bottomed?

My charts only go back 20 years but if you draw a trend line across the 2009 and 2020 lows, it looks like we have a long way to go.

Do you trade specific symbols only OR does your strategy scan the market with a criteria ?

I use stockcharts.com. I look for stocks making new highs. I use price and volume and volatility as a filter. Throw in a few set-up rules and a little money management and you have a trading strategy.

THESE deadbeat tech stocks are at - 70%, should I sell it or hold?

Of course it was. My point unless your stock that is down 90% is a special case why not dump it and look for a special case. There's a reason your stock is down. The market always recovers but that doesn't apply to individual stocks.

THESE deadbeat tech stocks are at - 70%, should I sell it or hold?

Cool!! But how about the stocks that never recovered? What if you'd been holding something that didn't recover and you could have sold and bought Citi.

    "insider trading"

Bernie was insider trading or making more than he was allowed. Bernie was a ponzi.

THESE deadbeat tech stocks are at - 70%, should I sell it or hold?

You might do that but I wouldn't say it was the best play. Not much different from throwing a dart to pick your next stock. If you wouldn't buy a stock why would you hold it?

    "insider trading"

Couple things; How much are you allowed? I'd like to keep under that amount. Who is the "They" who freeze your account? Can you point to an occassion where this has happened?

THESE deadbeat tech stocks are at - 70%, should I sell it or hold?

The stock doesn't know what you paid for it. Is there a better place to employ that capital today? Why add to a mistake?

    Crypto Macro Trends for 2022

Actually John I take no joy in your misfortune. I had hoped you might have seen the risk involved and taken some action to minimize your drawdown. Any idea where the term crypto winter came from? Sounds like something out of game of thrones.

    Crypto Macro Trends for 2022

You can see why I have trouble valuing bitcoin, how does the interest rates set by the fed affect the value. If the Fed eases and prints fiat the value of bitcoin increases but if the fed tightens then the value of bitcoin falls. The Fed has said it will continue to tighten. The interest rates...

    Tesla TSLA has topped

I was at one time what you would call an investor. The crash or correction or whatever you want to call it in 2001 changed my mind. I didn't sell at the bottom or capitulate but held on and the portfolio eventually recovered. Not all stocks, but the account balance got back to where it was in...

    Bitcoin failed to deliver.

Thanks John; To my way of thinking Buffet isn't investing in crypto he's investing in providing digital financial services. He's not investing in gold he's selling shovels. I'd like to hear what he says if anyone asks him about it.

    Bitcoin failed to deliver.

Nope he didn't. I quess that's one of the perqs of running the company. If I had been in charge he would have had to explain why he broke one of his own rules. Mind you he eventually saw the error of his ways and got out. Kinda answered your own question there. Golden rule my friend, the guys...
