    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

I am SO going down tomorrow! Damn! Sh*t! :(  :( (Bob, let's get drunk.)

+ $336 Hermit, when you get to the point you say, "Trading isn't my thing," that means you've reached your bottom and can only go up from here! (I know from experience because that is what I said to myself for many days in row back in the fall.)

    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

(Hermit, I apologize in advance for this disappointing post, but remember an unrealized loss is still a loss!) +$336 Yesterday’s action left ORLY’s chart looking very bad for a short position that’s already at a loss (full bullish engulfing pattern, higher low, and poised to test...

    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

Hermit, I'm sorry, but my risk management plan states: "Do not trade the first 5 minutes!" (unless great exuberance ensues) :p

    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

Hermit, no! Wait! Stay one more day! Yesterday's action left ORLY with a very nasty chart to be short against, and this morning they were upgraded by an ANAL-yst. This triggered my risk management antennae and I plan to take the loss. It's a pretty good one, too; not boring, I assure you...

    short selling stocks

I make a living entirely by shorting. There are a small number of stocks that my broker (Etrade) doesn't always have available to short and in those cases I have my husband short them thru IB.

    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

+ $291 Didn’t trade a lot today, still studying GS intently and coming to like it more and more. I am getting quite adept at predicting its moves, and dipped my toe in the water again today. I would like to pick GS for my stock of the day and trade it exclusively. I’m right about there in...

Yes, when I got back from my appt, you guys were short HANS and I felt left out, so I shorted it again. My only regret was not taking profits a couple times instead of holding through two moves!

    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

+ $326 Offered 9.45 HOTT, It got all the way to 9.33 and dropped off too quickly for me to enter at market. Covered yesterday's HANS @ 36.35 for a $105 gain, only to watch it die suddenly from there. That always happens when a trade runs against me at first, I impatiently exit earlier than...

    Staying Healthy

I use nutritional, not brewer's, yeast, but I just looked it up and: Sources of B12 for Vegans Fortified Foods There are many vegan foods fortified with B12. They include non-dairy milks, meat substitutes, breakfast cereals, and one type of nutritional yeast. The "Daily Value" for...

"Take profits on O'Reilly," Cramer said. "The stock has already had a good run." OMG, I don't whether to be thrilled or scared to death about my ORLY short...

    Staying Healthy

All I do is add a tablespoon nutritional yeast to my diet. Or you can take a B supplement orally. Getting shots of B12 is for those with pernicious anemia, a very rare condition in which the body can't absorb B12. But you can sell anything to Hollywood :D

    Staying Healthy

Having had cancer, I have extensive blood work done every 3-6 months. My blood work after being vegan for 3 1/2 years showed excellent levels in all areas including calcium and B12. I add nutritional yeast to my smoothie each morning to ensure ample B12, which is the only nutrient a pure vegan...

Pros and Cons: LLC vs S-Corp

This is what our accountant advised us last year because we were just starting out. We have a dormant S Corp, and I look forward to making significant enough money in the near future that we can use it for the exact reasons above.

    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

Hog, I completely understand what you are saying here and in fact this has been on my mind through the weekend. Last week I was asked whether I’d tried Mark Douglas’s 20-trade exercise (choose one equity or future and take 20 trades on it using your particular strategy). I still hadn’t at...

    A 70k bet that I can't make a 50% gain in 2009

Geez, I'm still a bit confused. Is your max loss per trade (~ $200) of paramount importance, rather than the risk:reward ratio? If you were to begin doubling your position size, while maintaining your risk:reward ratio, you should end up generating twice the profit. Unless...the larger position...

    A 70k bet that I can't make a 50% gain in 2009

Geez, your disciplined trading is nothing short of amazing and it has resulted in significant gains in a short period of time. Since you adhere to absolute inviolable risk:reward trading strategy, are you considering putting on larger positions? When I reach the point that I can adhere...

Risking 10k to make 1.25 mil. Anybody trades like that?

Every trade is completely new and capable of turning against you in seconds despite your strongest belief in its "clarity". You bring my previous post to life with your experience. If the OP goes for the home run and wins, he avoids the long and tedious career. If he goes for the home run...
