Is it possible to earn average 2 points per contract a day?

I don't see what the problem is here. Almost every simple trading system will give you at least 2 points a day per contract on the Dow futures. :D

Direct access for large share lots

There is no free lunch available. Pay me now or pay me later. Both MB Trading and TradeStation clearly state that the flat rate orders are routed differently than the per share rate orders. Brokers have to make a profit one way or another.

Why doesn't nobody buy stocks with 15-20% dividend?

Here is my favorite moron high yield stock - PHK (PIMCO High Income Fund). It has a yield of 12.31%. It is a leveraged CEF with a premium of 39.44%. No CEF is worth a premium, let alone 39.44%. High yield, leverage and high premium makes it a 3 time loser.

Buffett 20% annualized gains over 45 years

It is not total BS, just minor BS. Over the first 34 years the compound annual return was over 25%. The much flatter performance over the last 11 years brings it down to the 20% over 45 years.

    Ibkr

I very clearly stated "You need to read the IBKR financial reports." Where else would I get the relevant financial information other than the IBKR financial reports?

Buffett 20% annualized gains over 45 years

Other than Buffet and Munger, please list all the people that have actually held BRKA for 45 years. Please note: Dead people don't count.

    Ibkr

You need to read the IBKR financial reports. IBKR has two businesses: market making and brokerage. The market making business has fluctuating results and hence a negative influence on the stock price. The brokerage business is doing very well. Pretax profit margin was 49% in 2009 up from...

    Globalfutures, Advantagefutures or Velocityfutures ?

You are missing the point. There is a tremendous difference between getting your money back through a timely well ordered process and having to pay a lawyer to represent your interests in a bankruptcy preceeding and not knowing for many months when you are getting your money back and how much...

    Globalfutures, Advantagefutures or Velocityfutures ?

Very, very wrong. When it comes to safety of customer funds firms with very low daytrade margins are the opposite of safe. The firms with proper risk management practices and rules and interested in the well being of their customers do not allow $500 or $1000 daytrade margins for contracts...

    Globalfutures, Advantagefutures or Velocityfutures ?

Very wrong. Futures accounts are not 100% safe. You are ignoring the fact that the real problem with segregated funds is that all customers funds are segregated together. You are only looking at the firm going under. What if another customer blows out their account big time? If another...

Why the HUGE Gap Down in Tnotes?

There is no gap down, T Notes are up on the day. Since T Notes pay you each futures expiration is at a lower price than the previous one.

    Commodity option commissions?

The CME charges lower fees on options than on futures, so any honest futures brokers charge lower total commissions on CME futures options than futures. I pay IB lower total commissions on ES options than I pay on ES futures. IB's own unbundled commissions, ex CME fees, are the same for...

POLL: Index futures traders, would you prefer a larger or smaller tick size?

I want a larger contract size and a smaller tick size. The S&P should go to the original $500 multiplier and use .01 increments for a $5 tick. Of course the spread will be 5 to 10 ticks wide, but what the heck, you can always hope that traders will keep putting orders in the middle of the spread.

    IB paper statements

Steve_IB, who was the genius at IB that decided to print the account number above the account holders name on the envelope? There is every reason not to have the account number printed on the envelope and it serves no useful purpose, but there it is, plain as day. This is a clear security...

Why America couldn't even spend the economic stimulus package?

What a waste of money. Here is the best part - "The most expensive path is a 2,000-foot boardwalk to be built for $10.6 million along the east bank of the Schuylkill from the end of a current trail at Locust Street to South Street. Construction could begin in a few months." $5300 a foot to...
