8 ticks consistent scalps can be very good trades too. :) But there I see much more potential... all hindsight of course, not sure how it would develop in real-time and what the context was. It's not that I don't use trendlines at all. Just trendlines/levels/moving averages etc. are tools...

Huh... told and even showed you pretty much the same. It exists. :)

Very interested how it turns out for you and respect your openness to the new opportunities and knowledge.

I don't treat trendlines as a concrete base for trades, rather a gauge for trend cycles. In this sense all 3 of your charts have nice profitable trades (hint: BSOT's don't have to be precise, actually nothing has to be precise as it's not an exact science, a few ticks up or down are not critical...

    Why is that? Bad performance?

Isn't price action always erratic and unpredictable? :)

Euro's still nice trendline instrument... :)

I don't follow CL closely, so can't say anything about it. Speaking of NQ, which I trade along with Euro, it's the most range-bound of three "big" US indexes, but still OK intra-day swings even though VIX is as low as it was before the 2008 crash.

The Truth About Prop Trading: Join Us or Perish

Ditto to both points! Also prefer futures and yes, no need to predict with certainty, enough to react to moves, which offer good probabilities.

The Truth About Prop Trading: Join Us or Perish

I have never tested TA as an outsider. Rather I tested it based on real-time experience, which gave me evidence of what is most likely to provide the best statistical edge. Then I back-tested hypothesis and it showed positive results, then forward-tested with the same outcome. It's not that...

Why I Don't Believe in TA

Majority of those trades happened in October, while talk with Surf took place late August. All the more, those trades were copied on the account of my friend, old ET member. So yes, everything is clear there. The other question is if I'd like to show something again... cause it didn't seem to...

The Truth About Prop Trading: Join Us or Perish

Simple: they test it wrong. See no problem here, science has been wrong many times and for a prolonged time insisted on wrong views until they fell apart under weight of new facts.

Why I Don't Believe in TA

Time will come and if I am in the mood, may show some more in the future. :) P. S. Those trades were made after you challenged me and since we agreed I show you some, so it was fair example. But enough is enough.

I LOVE being scared! Recipe for that is very tight stops (today it's 7 ticks in NQ) and high leverage. Because it forces you to be selective and avoid taking crappy trades. :) I only want those with good potential and microscopic risk, no compromises!

Why I Don't Believe in TA

Surf challenged me last Summer and I presented trades posted on 3rd party verified site so that no doubts exist. Wonder why those who like to claim how superior their method is not make long-term calls in a similar environment too...

Yea, day trading sure is very demanding compared to swing trading. If I was born rich, would never day trade, rather position trade intermediate/long-term having a few trades per year. But... :D

Does anyone use a 2 moving average trading system?

BD, I don't think so, because the purpose of MA is smooth momentum/price action over a certain number of periods. Simple MA just returns average of X periods, EMA does the same but with more weight to last periods. So for me, EMA serves my purposes pretty well, it shows overall direction...

The Truth About Prop Trading: Join Us or Perish

Not to sound arrogant, but Surf, my IQ is 130... of course I tested random entries alongside with real-time chart reading, cause it always got me very interested why chart reading works and if it's reality or delusion. Evidence shows entering with momentum on your side provides clear extra edge...
