its amazing..there are traders on this thread, on this site and trading is what the site is all about! But then there are people who just troll and when they read something that is not within their squared-off, entrenched thinking pattern, a sharp nerve gets hit and then an emotional...

I not sure China will put out data that shows hard landing even if they have one...so it will look fairly positive on our side I am surprised Saudi is not jawboning oil to the upside more often these days? The combination of Saudi putting a floor in crude and China slipping through little...

I like the spread...currently long (shorter term calls) on the SPX and DJIA and short RUT and NDX (selling longer term calls on RUT and buying longer term puts on NDX) also short Vol against retail earnings this week

    Negative interest-rate swaps

a good question. This will become a trade in the maybe not too distant future and its very much worth a discussion. I am currently still doing research on the dynamics and don't have anything to add here just yet. seems one implication would be good demand and price gains for Treasuries

the oil jawboning maybe starting up again but it gets more and more obvious. As this round of jawboning may not bounce it too far...oil in pretty clear bear market. however the oil bounce play pulling the spx is the favorite right now....in fact any bogus played up news bouncing the spx seems...

ES bounce from 2000 flattening out...seems no big moves into london session. Probably not for NY either, maybe bit more bounce. Gold came back off pretty quick. One thing though. after the knee jerk and once the dust settles....Lots of talk from "individual" EU countries about the big mistake...

I should have known that once gold got that low (too low) it was in play for a swing

yes, however, more heavy QE by Draghi and possibly Abe to follow would only push the USD higher and USD based CME WTI and USD based Comex Gold/Copper lower and that trade is leaning away from any higher SPX currently and is actually opening the door for some shorting until Fed negative interest...

seems that is the way toppy markets behave...riding high and everything hunky dory, wildly bullish... then clues and flash numbers showing that the bullish theory is showing cracks which causes some panic and a decent sell-off....bottom of the sell-off comes some savior (this time our Fed) and...

OK right, I forgot I was looking at ES. I should actually post channels and numbers in SPX because that is spot...sometimes I am looking too much at futures and one finds much better longer term feel looking at spot... Ok let me go back to charts and draw some SPX trends and see how that...

It dropped down to the bottom of the channel a little too quickly to allow for the negatives from today to process out into a quick bounce back up the channel. Today's earnings not really a big issue but traders starting to see that the more dovish and QE laden Japan and Europe get, the higher...

seems like 2040 is the bottom of the current channel going back to March 2105. So, is this just a move to the bottom of the channel and back up or is it a bigger sell-off down toward 2000?

dollar power if it will happen, but either way oil seems steep bearish! (38?) this bad department store numbers and spx sell-off has "no hike in Dec" written all over it.... buy the dip? turns out department stores don't fit into our new world, will the Macy's Day parade still exist in our new...
