This should help pancake the market. It'll be good for my shorts. Thanks, Bob. :D

Rubin Urges Democrats to Raise Taxes to Reverse Budget Deficit
By Kevin Carmichael
Nov. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Robert E...
I agree on all points, and I think we'll get a pullback here, but I'm still wary because of the tremendous upside momentum of the last couple of months.
Re commodities, check out the CRB Index. It's making a strong turn higher.
Hey, I've never been one to throw rocks at you. I appreciate when people have an opinion and state why. It's what I'm here for.
Do you think the market's going to get spooked by the elections now that the Dems have officially taken both the House and the Senate? I'm thinking that might be...
I keep thinking that, at some point soon, the market is going to crap itself when it realizes what the Dems are planning on doing with regulation, taxes, etc.
People have forgotten what a Dem Congress means after 12 years without one.
 You really think so? The market's rallied off of Republican victories the past several years. I've been thinking this 100% opposite result means the bull market is dead. It wouldn't be so bad if the Dems just won the House but it looks like they'll win the Senate, too. The...
Joab and the others here like him are evidence of the failure of our education system. You take a run-of-the-mill or subpar mind and feed it PC ideology instead of a real education and this is what you get.
To quote Melanie Phillips:
"We are living in the most advanced age of reason...
I think that's very possible, for a couple of reasons. For one thing, the media has been reading the Republican Party's obituary for the last two or three months. Anything less than a complete, total wipeout of the Republicans will seem like a victory. Democrat gains have been hyped very...
I haven't read this whole thread so I don't know if someone's said this already but....
It's entirely possible that the one shot in the morning will remove the intangibles that are earning you $100k/yr trading. Trading successfully is often a delicate balancing act in my opinion and your...
I think this is probably right. The short term up trend has been broken but the intermediate term trend is still extremely bullish and we've had 4 or 5 down days in a row. Shorts will be eager to lock in some end-of-week gains that have been hard to come by for the last 3 - 4 months. Also, it...
A couple of years ago, a friend asked me to look at Schaefer's options ideas. I thought they were total crap. Pretty amateurish stuff in my opinion. I don't know what he's putting out now but I'd look elsewhere for market insights.
How 'bout now? Looks like the economic numbers of the last couple of days combined with this prolonged runup might give us a real pullback here. Not a crash "apocalypse now" scenario but a pullback.
The last couple of day's bone-crunching, relentless multi-point selloff is over. Whew, I haven't seen anything that horrific since that wrenching, gut-churning 15 point selloff in the S&P500 in September.
Time to buy. :D
