    hey. The thing is, dont think in $, think in cents... when you scale up to 200, do it from the begginning of the day... if you wait for a super safe setup to use the 200 it may happen that it goes wrong and you have to get it back on 100 shares. As a rule of thumb I never increase trading size...

    Pckage sizes depends a lot on the equity you're trading. Let me explain. If you're trading GE or PFE, then you can easily scale up to several thousand shares with no problem, you'll be just another one in the bunch... But if you're trading TOL or XOM, you probably dont want to have...

    really good post steve. Just wanned to add something to #3 ...Oh my Gawd it's down 50%, 60%, 70%, it's got to rebound, it's just got to!!... wait I can now buy some more of the stock and I´ll get a better price per share... I´ll make millions when it bounces back!!!

    If you have your edge at reading the other players and have a good pokerface then live will be easier for you, if you get all nervous and start sweating everytime you get the nutz... then you should try online.

    You're right, it is imposible to make risk zero. However you can optimize your risk, ensuring that you get the best posible return for a given risk. That's the whole point of building a portfolio or using a diversity of trading strategies... not putting all your eggs in one basket.
