Obama wants to drop taces on 95% of Americans including capital gains for small biz

You say that people on welfare are receiving too much -- how much is too much?

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

Fair enough. But the reality is that taxes (if not Federal, then state) are going to go up to pay for the massive, massive increase in federal debt. Even if McCain "reduces" taxes the costs will only shift to the states, where taxes will increase. Why? Because his plan spends more money...

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

With respect to the GDP, under Clinton spending dropped 0.6% in his first term, and dropped 8.2% in his second term. Under Bush I (again with respect to debt/GDP) spending increased 13.1%. Under Bush II, spending increased in his first term 6.9% (but that doesn't count all these "off...

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

Well yes, the government could cut the military to only the level of the top three world countries combined. But that's not going to happen and the country will maintain expenditures on the military at the top 10 countries military expenditures combined. Other topics, such as SS, are a...

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

It's a fine line between a simple explanation and a simplistic explanation. Bin Laden, for example, the patriarch of the cause is very wealthy. Your explanation doesn't hold water.

Or, here's the sensible response: because it didn't maintain troops in Saudi Arabia as Bin Laden objected to.

More supression of speech by Obama's campaign

How is demanding equal airtime for views "suppression of speech?"

Obama hates Wall Street yet speaks at INVESCO Stadium?

I don't think Obama hates Wall Street. Unless you think disclosure of pension plan investments is somehow hateful.

Does not voting for Obama make me a racist?

I know a fellow who used the n-word about Obama twice in an hour, then proceeded to complain that people called him a racist. I don't think not voting for Obama makes you a racist. After the last eight years of Republicans, cuckoo-crazy perhaps, but not by default racist.

Why is that, do you think?

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

"As a member of the Democratic minority in the 109th Congress, he helped create legislation to control conventional weapons and to promote greater public accountability in the use of federal funds. He also made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. During the 110th...

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

I think your assessment of the situation is just a touch off. Obama referred not to an invasion of Pakistan, but incursion by Special Forces to hunt Bin Laden (as I understand it, McCain is on board with this as well, after attacking Obama for it.) And since instituting a draft would be...

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

Alright, fair enough. So what do you feel McCain's greatest accomplishments were in the Senate, by comparison?

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

Okay. My sense is that he's an intellectual. What was it about McCain that made you feel that he had a grasp of history? Well they served on a board together. Coincidentally that's the same position that the Weather Underground had. Personally I'm against all bombings. Well...

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

Why would it matter? According to you, except for his experience he has no experience, and if you're not impressed by the experience it doesn't count. So clearly anything he did in the Senate wouldn't count. But okay, we'll just move on, here's some informaton about his experience in the...

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

You might be interested in another thread here entitled "Why are Republicans such a nasty bunch?" Well that's just wrong and Obama shouldn't associate with him. Except Obama was eight when this all happened, so the question has to be asked whether Obama even knew anything about this guy's...

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

I can't speak for him, but I'd rather have my health care taken care of by the country where the outcomes and comparable to the US, which has longer life expectancy, and where I don't have to pay out of pocket for catastrophic care or lose my insurance coverage for an existing condition.

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

Well that's fair. If you aren't impressed by his experience therefore he doesn't have any. I heard, McCain was a POW and a Senator. How does this qualify him to be president? You must have been particularly happy with the performance of the government for the last 30 years while McCain...

What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

Wait wait wait... so Obama is evil because he once went to a fundraiser where there was a guy who was convicted of nothing. I looked this up, too -- turns out that it wasn't that evidence was "lost" as you claimed. (Surprise, surprise, you've got your facts wrong.) Apparently the charges...
